Celebrated preacher and Zimbabwe's most popular prophet, who is the founder of United Family International Church (UFIC), Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa is expected in Bulawayo before the end of the month for a massive blessing of the city during a four-day crusade.
The much hyped about and 'spiritually-filled' crusade is reportedly going to be characterised by miracles. Prophet Makandiwa is no stranger to miracle performance as he once made headlines with miracle gold and miracle baby whose mother conceived after 3 days of pregnancy.
The crusade, whose dates and venue are yet to be announced, has since become viral and the talk of the city with its miracle and spiritual activities expected to surpass those of last year's "Judgment Night" in Harare.
So high is the excitement within UFI church that they have dubbed the day "The Revival of Bulawayo" where the city's ailing and closed industries are expected to reopen after the crusade.
Announcing the eagerly awaited coming of Prophet Makandiwa which is likely to coincide with Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, the church's local pastor at the city's main branch at Security Mills premises, Pastor Zuva, last Sunday said the crusade would be dominated by miracles. He said those who do not believe in miracles or have never witnessed miracles, the day is going to provide an opportunity to meet the man himself (Prophet Makandiwa) and bear witness to the miracles he is going to perform.
"Bulawayo we are blessed. A great man of God, Papa (Prophet Makandiwa) is coming before the end of this month for a four-day crusade. It's going to be a great crusade where Bulawayo industries are going to be revived. The spirit of poverty, satanism, prostitution and different diseases such as HIV and cancer are going to be cured. Definitely on this day Satan would be cut to size," said Pastor Zuva.
Pastor Zuva said the crusade was going to change Bulawayo as the enemy would be dealt with ruthlessly. He then urged his congregants to pray for the expected fireworks.
Interestingly, The crusade has also reportedly caused panic to some churches who fear losing congregants with reports that Bulawayo pastors have since issued stern warnings to their congregants that they would face 'disciplinary action' if they ever attend Prophet Makandiwa's crusade.
When Prophet Makandiwa went to Bulawayo in 2011 where he officially launched UFI Bulawayo branch, one of Bulawayo's most popular pentecostal churches (name withheld) was holding its annual conference and a lot of its members opted for Prophet Makandiwa's crusade that was held at ZITF hall. My Zimbabwe editor attended the official launch and a number of leaders from other churches were also present.
My Zimbabwe has also been informed that from Bulawayo, Prophet Makandiwa is expected to visit Victoria Falls where he will conduct another miracle crusade.
