Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, who is a Seventh Day Adventist (SDA), delivered a sermon before about 5000 pilgrims attending a church conference in the Golden Kopje area in Makonde this Thursday.
Mphoko had been invited to grace the week-long SDA Church's North Zimbabwe Conference, where he delivered a sermon mainly centred on the genesis of the demise of man and his fall from grace following his deceit by the serpent in the garden of Eden.
Quoting scriptures from Genesis 3, the Vice President aptly chose to dwell on a subject that compels humankind to own up to their mistakes and sins, and desist from apportioning blame on their kins when things go wrong.
President of the SDA North Zimbabwe Conference, Dr Obert Mudzengi said his church believes in moulding its membership into law abiding citizens, adding that there are plans to develop the community surrounding the Golden Kopje annual camp site.
The SDA North Zimbabwe Conference attracted close to 5000 congregants.
The conference is taking place at Nyakarangwe Farm in the Golden Kopje area of Makonde District.
The conference is being held under the theme: 'Revived for Holy Living.'
