Brethren In Christ Church (BICC) youths in Bulawayo will be hosting their 10TH annual district camp at Shalom Campsite in Matopos as they foster realignment with God and use the platform to intercede for young people and the nation.
The theme for this year's 2 - 4 October event is "Come let us return to the Lord" - Hosiah 6 v 1, and hundreds of youths are expected to attend. As preparations intensify, they are growing expectations among young people ahead of the event, with some having paid the registration fee which is packed at US$30.
According to the district youth chairperson Mr Roland Moyo, a number of activities have been lined up for the day "This year's camp is bigger and better and has a lot of activities lined up including powerful preaching of the word, in-depth worship experience, adventure tours, exciting games and braai (tshisa nyama)".
Furthermore, he said on coming up with this year's theme, they realised that they are leaving in the last days and many things are contending for the attention of the young people.
Some of these things are pushing young people away from God, hence rise the need to lift an intercessory voice to God for his visitation. So we would like to invite all young people to register as soon as possible and would like to thank the support we are getting from our parent, pastors and our overseer Rev. Sphetho Dube. Guest speakers of the camp meeting are Mr. Morgan Mpofu (BICC Lobengula), Pastor Richard Longworth (Selbourne Park Christian Church) and Methembe Songo (BICC Pumula North).
