A Chikomba man Takaedza Mundione has declared himself as the foretold saviour sent to deliver Zimbabwe.
"Elijah manifested in the New Testament as John the Baptist, now Jesus is manifest in Africa in me, I am the Messiah predicted in Isaiah 19:20," said the 41-year-old self-styled preacher to Daily News.
Mundione, who goes by the name Shadreck, told the Daily News on Sunday that time has come for him to push his ministry.
"I know a lot of people are masquerading as servants of my Father's Kingdom, fleecing people of their money, acting as prophets.
"All those people are going to disappear in the space of five years. Most of them are going to cross national borders, fleeing to reside in foreign lands as businesspeople.
"I have come to change the game," said the father of five.
Mundione claims that he started performing miracles and healing people at a tender age.
"The first miracle in my life took place when I was still a baby, crawling. The hut that I was in burnt to ashes but I did not die or get hurt.
"Owing to this experience, people gave me the name Shadreck as I was not affected by the fire," he said.
"As I grew up, I preferred preaching while sitting in fire (flames) and my favourite Bible verse was Psalms 23.
"I usually prefer teaching to performing miracles as the latter tends to mislead people and my whole mission here on earth."
Mundione, who claimed to have fasted for 40 days and nights, said he has no church but has set his base at Featherstone.
"The Jesus who came before me did not have a church as the church is every believer.
"I do not have a church as well but people tend to gather at Featherstone where I conducted my fasting sessions.
"More than 50 000 people have been delivered when they visited that ground as it is now holy. We now call that place the Gospel of Kingdom or Ivhangeri Youshe," he said.
Mundione, whose mother is Joyce Musunza of Mhondoro area, claims angels from heaven are his best friends.
"I was trained to preach the gospel by angels and they are the ones who instructed me to adopt the name Shadreck Yehoshua Messiah and the name helps me to conquer every obstacle in life," he said.
Mundione said he was not blaspheming as he was sent by God.
"Blaspheming is when someone tries to pretend to be Messiah or speak evil against the name, in my case I was sent by God hence there is no way I can be blaspheming," he boldly said.
