THE Christ Embassy Church in Zimbabwe has dismissed claims by Gweru-based cleric, Guy Freeman Siyawareva, that he was the spiritual son of Nigerian-based prominent televangelist Chris Oyakhilome.
In a statement yesterday, the church distanced itself from Siyawareva and His Living Flames Christian Centre.
"Christ Embassy Church would like to make a correction; Guy Siyawareva is not in any way linked to Pastor Chris and the Christ Embassy Church spiritually or otherwise," the church said.
"As a church, we disassociate ourselves from the article, any activity or publishing being done by Siyawareva and those interacting with him must be guided accordingly."
Siyawareva was in Harare recently for the launch of his two books titled Things Jesus Did for Every Believer and My New Life in Christ, where he claimed Chris was his "spiritual father".
He said in terms of popularity, the books were going to be second only to the Bible.
