Resolutions.......?????.......BAH HUMBUG!

How many will be making resolutions this year? How many will be
breaking it before February 2012? It seems almost like a tradition to
make and many times break resolutions. In today's world, it is viewed
as almost acceptable as many make jokes about resolutions and its
eventual demise. Many years ago, I realized that resolutions were just
not for me. I don't believe in them and as such I don't make them.
Yes, feel free to say bah humbug. Making resolutions can be equated to
having a conversation with a drunk man, yes, he will promise the moon
and the stars but when the alcohol or shayo as my people call it clears
off, he does not remember a word he spoke in his drunken state. The
question then becomes, then what do I do then? Am I okay with my
flaws? Do I believe that I am perfect and I have nothing to change?
First,
there is nothing that beats being self aware. I understand my flaws,
my strengths and my weaknesses. I also understand that all these three
are what makes me who and what I am. Pamela. Will I change anything?
Maybe this, that and the other but I also understand that those who love
me will still love me regardless. Digressing here....not my
intention. So what do I do since I do not make resolutions. I take
stock and look for little things that I can change that won't be
overwhelming. You know that proverb, 'little drops of water make a
mighty ocean'. Exactly. I make plans. You see when you make action
plans, you go beyond the world of throwing words in the air as in
resolutions (which can be great - when you speak words, you do create
things in the spiritual realm) but making plans or setting up an action
plan means actually activating those words you put into the spiritual
realm.
