Poem: Desert called peace
08 May 2014 at 10:35hrs | Views
Long hard think
Barren road stretches on
Putrefying corpses reek of death
Cast aside like banana peels
Vultures circle endlessly
Biding their time
Waiting to strike
The toad strangled a snake
Oblivious to the ruse
Sweet death
Bitter and vengeful
aren't we all
Deceitful like the rose
Poison ivy
What you touch touches you
The thorn sharp to the touch
And ivy, well to touch is folly
Barren road stretches on
Putrefying corpses reek of death
Cast aside like banana peels
Vultures circle endlessly
Biding their time
Waiting to strike
The toad strangled a snake
Sweet death
Bitter and vengeful
aren't we all
Deceitful like the rose
Poison ivy
What you touch touches you
The thorn sharp to the touch
And ivy, well to touch is folly
