17 Jul 2014 at 12:22hrs | Views
The above late member of the royal was born on the 16 July 1929 in Makhado area of Beitbridge west
He is the first son of the late headman Mapfumo Makhado. Headman Makhado passed on in May 2014 Beitbridge district hospital.During his early years he attended his primary education in Handa in Beitbridge.

He then immigrated to Johannesburg and worked over there and later on he joined the boxing club and become a professional boxer.

On his career as a boxer he won all his 24 local matches which resulted on him being promoted to go to fight in America for international match.

Unfortunately he fail to go there because his father and the royal family was not happy about his career since he was the one to take over his father upon his death.

Mind that in Venda culture the royal family are not allowed to play sports like this one.His father then sent police to deport him which they did so.On his arrival he was then taught about his duties and a headman. He later worked in Beitbridge under Manica freight until the death of his father 1976 and he left and took over as headman of Masera.

Since he was the eldest son and his mother was from a royal family was entitle to be headman. But due to complains from family member. He then fail to be declared headman and the position was then handed over to the wrong person who pass on before him

Masera does not have headman since 2005 because the family members are disputing about it.

In order for the family to settle this they have to go back to the tshiVenda culture and instal the leader. There are sons of the late who can be installed without doubt .The main problem is that the Makotsimunene want to share this position between themselves which will create a vacuum for long period. Underneath is Venda protocol to follow when installing the Venda clan leader..mind that when publish this never put my name it should be one of the Masera community member.
