- The writer will be now dealing with Gobbets .Gobbets are commonly found in all papers ,and in the third session .I thought it was noble to share some of the information with ZIMSEC and CAMBRIDGE A level Divinity Students. - The headache is on the level of understanding the gobbets .What is a gobbet? This question cannot be easily separated from Divinity Students. Same applies on how to write it .You have to answer the following questions in order to understand gobbets .
- What is a gobbet?
- What should I comment?
- Should I write in point or paragraph form ?
- What's the total mark of the gobbet?
- On the ongoing article the writer will effectively answer the above gobbet.
ANSWERS
- The context of the gobbet [immediate] is when Eldad and Medad prophesied ecstatically after being possessed by the spirit of God .The incident occurred when spirit of God rested upon the seventy elders during the sharing of spirit by Yahweh. The source of this Gobbet is E-source because God communicates with individual through prophecy "ecstasy" Eldad and Medad were part of the 70 registered elders but they did not go into the tent because they were unclean. As much as Eldad and Medad did not go into the tent they prophesied just like other elders ,hence ,this indicate the universalism of the spirit of God. The type of ecstasy which they experienced is contagious [see my article about ecstasy].Dr Constable summited that this was a result of selection and it was also temporary "administrative prophecy". The number 70 represent 70/71 descendants of Abraham. This evidence also support the view that prophecy might have originated among the Israelites [inspiration by J Lindblom is the earliest form of prophecy]
