Bulawayo mayor should have rejected gift from homosexuals

14 Dec 2011 at 05:26hrs | Views
If an apparition stretches its hand to greet you, withdraw yours. Bulawayo Mayor, Councillor Thaba Moyo did not see it coming.

It is with great shock to learn that a "man of honour", Clr Moyo, stretched his hands to receive dumped painted drums by gays who are trying to buy their way into our society. He has shown himself a complete failure.

If Bulawayo was all that dirty, as a man of honour, he could have just ordered the responsible department to look for empty drums in companies and simply paint them and make them rubbish bins. He was going to come up with more than 200 of them.

We always hear of Bulawayo City Council (BCC) this, BCC that . . . enough of problems of BCC but not to the extent of allowing gays to advertise themselves in our second largest city, the City of Kings and Queens.

What on earth is the mayor trying to introduce specially in our country, a Bible-believing nation and a God-fearing people. In any case, this doesn't surprise us anymore as he is following in the footsteps of his master, Mr Morgan Tsvangirai.

First of all the Bible that we all read and believe in, not knowing if it is the same with the mayor's Bible, homosexual practice is cursed. It is a sin. The sin that caused the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Men were lusting for other men. This means that it is not right. Denying gays in our society is not a human right abuse; it is what we know that they are doing which becomes a curse. It means the body becomes cursed.

By allowing homosexuality in our society to take place we are kindling God's anger against the nation. Thus calling for unknown famines into the nation, the curses are endless. How can the mayor allow a gay to be a guest of honour? Just because of 20 empty drums?

The mayor is quoted in the local daily of 2 December 2011 saying: "Gays have the right to donate to council and we have the right to receive from them."

The question that needs an answer is: "Who did the mayor first consult or had a meeting with before he received the donation?"

The mayor does know that the majority of Zimbabweans are against homosexual practices. MDC-T's Copac team once tried to sneak in the gay rights issue into the new draft constitution. The mayor has just put his foot into his mouth just like Mr Tsvangirai.

If these litter bins were donated not in the name of Sexual Rights Centre, not campaigning for gay rights, there would be no problem. But the fact that they are pink coloured and written donated by Sexual Rights

Centre becomes a taboo to Zimbabweans. They are moneyed using what they call pink money in UK, South Africa and other countries where it is practised.

I guess apart from litter bins the mayor might have received an unknown token. This clearly comes to David Cameron, the British Prime Minister who said: "The UK will not give aid to countries that do not recognise gay rights." Maybe the mayor thought he is doing it on behalf of the nation, but that is absolutely wrong and a big NO.

Did the mayor fail to see that gays are trying to gnaw in their rights into our society? By the time he realises this, it could be too late to heal the cancerous wound. Why has the mayor undermined the City of Kings and beautiful Queens? The spirits of King Mzilikazi and King Lobengula have been undermined up to the spirit of Father Zimbabwe Joshua Nkomo.

Why "gaying" the city famous for beautiful women among other beautiful things? How on earth did Mojalifa Mokoele manage to identify the dirty streets of Bulawayo?

What is special about those 20 empty drums? Is Bulawayo all that desperate? How far has the pollution gone that moved his heart to donate 20 drums? I guess the young man is on cloud nine when he sees himself with the mayor. He is stretching his fingers writing in his diary, "Mission Accomplished", year 2011 resolution.

I was even shocked when Mojalifa Mokoele said: "We cannot have peace in a dirty and discriminating environment."

To help the young man, he has come to disturb our peace in our good environment. He is not welcome in Zimbabwe, for this could cause chaos and violence. I guess he was sent by Cameron. They are aware that Zanu-PF was having its conference in Bulawayo, just about the time they made the donation.

Since Zanu-PF is the people's party which has dignity and has a strong anti-gay policy, it is probable that council and the gays sought to stir their emotions to create violence. We all know that the

West wants to create stories that attract headlines, that Zanu-PF is full of violence whereas it is not.

I am happy that Zanu-PF, especially the youths, contained their emotions on this decidedly objectionable donation. I suggest the litter bins be removed from the streets to maintain our peaceful environment.

But the offer of the donation and the mayor's acceptance of it show what MDC-T is. Zimbabwean people no longer need a prophet from the moon to tell them what type of animal is MDC-T. It is filled with immorality, against human nature, against the holy book of God, the Bible. But they are shooting themselves on their feet. I suggest it is the spirit of this nation which does not want its soil to be spoiled with cursed practices.

If only the muscle of President Mugabe was weak, Zimbabwe by now would have been doomed. Recently he gave a stern warning to homosexual practices while in Shurugwi. He said severe punishment is coming to those who are caught in the practice. He went on to say even when flies are mating in the air they realise each other; a male fly always goes after a female one. He once said, "Gays are worse than pigs and dogs".

Even if you lock in two bulls in a pen for a year, they will rather die of hunger or destroy the pen than mate with each other.

Same-sex relationships are against our society, against nature, against God, and so cannot be tolerated. Warning Mr Mayor, remember to use a long spoon when supping with the devil.
