MDC-T dribbles ZimPF in Bikita West

The thrashing of Zimbabwe People First, (ZimPF), at the hands of ZANU PF has certainly disorientated that party, exposing its pre-maturity in the world of politics.
Before it can make sense of what really transpired in its Bikita West debut, that party's stalwarts have already begun jumping ship, with Claudius Makova setting precedent.
Nevertheless such ill-thought moves amid the obtaining crisis and off-balance retreat, have their roots in the founder member, Dr Joice Mujuru, who for now is faced with yet another mammoth task of swallowing her words that, ‘ZPF is the real headache for ZANU PF'.
Frankly, Dr Mujuru bore that party's misery owing to political miscalculation and ultimately, ill-conceived forging of alliances with enemies, for the purposes of avenging ZANU PF.
This was obviously done, oblivious of the fact that ‘everything that begins in anger, ends in shame'.
Consequently, the crushing defeat is not just a miscalculation or mistake, but has spelt more doom for the newly born ZimPF, than any ordinary man in the street can ever imagine.
It was folly for Dr Mujuru to trust MDC-T leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, to nurture and catapult her into relevance.
After many years of name-calling Tsvangirai, Dr Mujuru should have been prudent enough to realise that she had bruised his ego for far too long and that one day, she had to pay the ultimate price.
When she made that call for Tsvangirai to co-address a rally in Bikita West, an opportunity for Tsvangirai to strike back was availed, and he took his revenge.
Like a Fish Eagle, Tsvangirai had taken Dr Mujuru sky high in Gweru, walking hand in arm, only to drop her at the most critical stage when she needed him the most.
It is indeed a lesson learnt so hard by Dr Mujuru and cronies that, it is survival of the fittest in opposition politics, which is vulture infested and laced with self-destructive personal egos.
Dr Mujuru, be reminded that comradeship was lost the moment you left ZANU PF. Out there, it is dog eat dog.
It is time you revive the self proclaimed ‘Teurai ropa' legacy and think outside the Tsvangirai domain.
All the demonstrations that Tsvangirai held under the auspices of the MDC-T and various pressure groups were intended to showcase that he commands much support than Dr Mujuru.
It has always been a contest, right from the word go, but our poor Joice could not read between the lines.
She made a fundamental mistake, to fall in love rather than walk on love with Tsvangirai.
He is not in any way equal to President Robert Mugabe, who mentored her.
As experienced as she claims, Dr Mujuru needed no introduction to politics lesson, which entails the essential understanding that there are no permanent friends in politics, but rather permanent interests.
The thunderous fall of Dr Mujuru and her political outfit, has always been on the cards in the MDC-T camp. Tsvangirai had to drive a point home; that Dr Mujuru cannot come with her much touted war credentials and take over from him.
She had to take a fall, and a hard fall she took, learning the greatest lesson that Tsvangirai will not cede power to anyone.
Dr Mujuru can now humbly take a back seat in the coalition negotiatios and cease from making unfounded claims.
As the drama unfolds, it is prudent for the opposition to be laughing and taking notes at the same time, which they can always refer to, to solve the imminent, weaving and bloodletting political crisis, mounting under the auspices of the ‘grand coalition'.
The litmus test results for Bikita West are out, and the odds are against the opposition.
