Jonathan Moyo: Were the San populations in Math-North constituency assisted in floods catastrophe?

08 Mar 2017 at 10:35hrs | Views
Who were the beneficiaries of the national disaster Mr. MP? Did your service extend to the most marginalized peoples of Zimbabwe: the San populations? What happened to them, do you know? Do you have an idea how much they were affected by the floods? What was the criterion of your assistance in the constituency in alleviating the national catastrophe? I am as sure as a cock, they did not get any service; because I know your service to the constituency depends on who actually voted for you during the parliamentary elections, the San people are not electorally included, they did not vote for you in the last elections, they are completely marginalized, cut off from the national day to day life occurrences in the nation.

Can you tell me who is looking into their welfare right now? Where are they? We did not hear a sound about them in your rescue efforts, why?

When you say people first and politics last, why are the San population not included that mantra? Are San populations really recognized as citizens of Zimbabwe at all or are they sub-citizens? Your marginalized approach to rescue your constituency evidences who is considered a human being to be rescued and who is considered a sub-human being to be left to fend for themselves in that national catastrophe of flooding leading to total destruction of humans and livestock.

I am very concerned about the whereabouts of the San populations right now. I wish to extend my assistance to them in this dire time of their lives in the region. Please let me know what you are doing to them and I will be glad to mobilize assistance from this side to alleviate hardships the San people have to endure.

I am wholly aware of your political crudeness; MP Moyo when it comes to assisting people in your constituency. Your services go to those who voted for you. You have made this categorically clear on several occasions and it for this reason that I have to directly ask how the San people where assisted in the same vein as your constituents in Math-North. If there is no answer to this we shall take note of that still. Your silence will be my answer equally.

Your legacy will be punctuated with how you categorise people in your constituency: who are human beings to be treated as humans and who are sub-humans, who will fend for themselves in any situation: if they cannot vote therefore they cannot benefit in any development whatsoever: and let alone when such natural disasters strike, they should never expect any assistance of any kind: Is that so? I take great exceptions to such limited mindset!
