At a moment when Zimbabwe is preparing for another round of the long waited for elections disorder seemed to be the order of the day. It has become quite evident that in a world where self glorification power is the most anticipated entity. Writes Jurgen Namupira.

It boggles the mind how political have been emerging overnight like mushroom. With an average of eighteen moths ahead of elections this is very much disturbing. The question is, what is the purpose of these multiple political parties?

The worst luck most African nations ever received was having people who thinks politics is a business where you invest your lifetime for enrichment. Therefore, the possible immediate response to the above question is the burning hunger for power.

At the end of the day there is going to be an imbalanced outcome where voter's decisions are going to be distorted all over different parties. Currently political parties stand at over twenty one in number and there are still promises of more parties emerging.

The other possible reason could be chancers merely trying their luck. This is in sync with a reported declaration by the leader and founder of the United Family International Church, Emmanuel Makandiwa, in July 2016 that Mr Mugabe's successor is a citizen recently based in the Diaspora.

To this we have seen self proclaimed great and able leaders campaigning from beyond borders and the oceans. Thanks to social their managing to reach the suffering individuals back home without any hassles. However, the question still remains; are these multiple parties passionate for change or just tools to alleviate power hunger?

Food For Thought!
