NPP to use 'Zanu PF thug expertise' to win 2018 elections - who will dare stop them after that!

The more I look at the prospect of the grand opposition coalition winning next year's elections (let us go along with the proponents of the coalition that Zanu PF will rig the vote and LOSE) the less I like it!

"I want the MDC-T guys here present to go and tell Save (Morgan Tsvangirai) that NPP appreciates the great experience you have in the opposition politics," said Munyaradzi Banda, a senior NPP leader.

"We in the NPP understand the other side because we have been with them (Zanu PF) for a long time and if we combine these experiences we will win the next election."

We all know that Mai Mujuru and her NPP team have been at the very heart of President Mugabe's corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship for donkey years. She was a cabinet member for 34 years with the last 10 years of which she was the tyrant's number two. Let us assume that Mai Mujuru and her NPP team are shrewd politicians who learnt a lot during their years in Zanu PF.

What is it then Mai Mujuru & co. learned from Zanu PF? Zanu PF is a party of corrupt, vote rigging and murderous thugs. These expert skills will certain be very useful in next year's election; most of the opposition parties are as poor as the proverbial church mouse and will welcome Mai Mujuru's loot to bankroll the coalition's campaign expenses. The coalition will certain need every dollar they can get because Zanu PF is loaded with the billions the regime is looting from Marange.

Since the elections are been held with not even one democratic reform in place, it goes without saying that Zanu PF will rig the vote just as readily as it rigged the 2013 elections. If anyone is going to stop Zanu PF rigging next year's elections it is Mai Mujuru and her NPP team since they are experts at rigging elections in their own right!

Many people have said Mai Mujuru and her team have learned Zanu PF's dirty habits and they will never change. All this talk of them having their "Damascene transformative moment" is nonsense. Well Comrade Banda is telling confirming NPP members are Zanu PF thugs in all but name. He is even boasting of their vast experience as thugs as a great selling point.

Whilst some people may argue that the end justify the means; it is wise to engage NPP thugs to end Zanu PF's decades of corrupt and tyrannical rule. What these people must consider now before it is too late is how will the nation stop Mai Mujuru and her NPP friends taking up in their corrupt and vote rigging activities from where they left off when they were kick out of Zanu PF? After all we have accepted they are thugs and even welcomed their thuggery!

As for Mai Mujuru endorsing Tsvangirai as the coalition leader, this is Tweedle Dee endorsing Tweedle Dum! The two have been in power for 34 and 5 years respectively and in that period have proven beyond doubt that they are corrupt and incompetent.

Zimbabwe is in real danger of becoming yet another Zambia; Zambians kicked out Kenneth Kaunda after 27 years of corrupt and inapt rule but only to be stuck with successive mediocre regimes of mediocre regimes.

We must remove Mugabe and his Zanu PF thugs from office and implement all the democratic reforms to ensure a healthy and functional democratic system of government in one political move. This two-step strategy of engaging NPP thugs to ouster Zanu PF thugs is fraught with the real danger of being stuck with successions of corrupt and incompetent regimes after Zanu PF.

There is no such thing as a half-way house between a dictatorship and a democracy; especially when those to be entrusted to implement the democratic reforms are the ones stand to lose the most from the demise of the dictatorship!
