Leave a good name, there is life beyond politics

23 Apr 2017 at 16:21hrs | Views
I've good advice for young people, and those who have stayed long in politics. This is very serious and if you take up this information you can have a good name were ever you go in life. Most politicians they forget that there is life after politics, you have a name to carry, you have a family, you have relatives, you also need to walk in streets like what other human beings do, and at the same time you have also a right to other necessities like everyone else. You mess up you invite danger for yourself. It's good to first think before you act in life. I had a privilege of travelling around in some countries mostly in the Sadc region I've learnt a lot. This message is good for all our leader even in the corporate world as well. History will rewrite itself, politics will be over oneday, you will find yourself in the village with headsman, traditional chiefs, and also you will be attending funerals like anyone else so it's important to revise your integrity after all we are all human beings.

Preserve your integrity

It is good to note that there is what we call integrity in life. Whilst money and luxuries can be good but one can discover that those things are short term benefits which have repercussions in future if not properly managed. We have been studying the politics of the past, politics of the belly, politics of the mafia and we have seen it all but remember you have a name to carry and you have a future and life beyond politics. How do you feel when your name is discussed in the streets all the time, toilets they write about your name, kombis they talk about you, and even in churches, everywhere it is not good.

Good works

One should be remembered because of good works. In fact wherever you go it's not about politics only but one should go through his or her life, and study yourself and see where you have gone wrong and try to make corrections. Life is a book which can be read by anyone, imagine if people were reading about you, and were they going to make references or quotations, if yes then were they going to be good reference and recommendations? We have children how do you feel when your children are insulted because of you? Obvious you can feel the heat. We can try to be brave but at last when you go to sleep on your bed you can begin to go through about your life and honestly some can go to the extent of insulting themselves. It's good to be remembered because of good works rather than the bad part of our life. We are going to leave children, grandchildren, great grandchildren how do we feel when those children will be denied privileges because of our works?

Leave a mark

Politics is not all about eating. If you join politics because you want to eat then that's a wrong move, politics, you should have a heart, sense of humour, and heart for development. Africa is in this state probably because of crisis in leadership. Since the inception of black governments, were is development? How do we measure development in the current state of affairs?

Life beyond politics

One need to understand that life has a bearing, whatever you plant is what you reap. Ecclesiastic chapter 9 clearly states that everything you do has a bearing on your part and you have to wait for the results. You need to mix with other politicians, relatives, exchange ideas be together, family outings and at the same time you need to hang with others, so my question is how would you hang around with others when you are brutal, when you use hate language, and when you even go to the extent of using force and intimidation on your opponents> honestly we need to revise our politics and be of good use to others.

Public spate between Tyson and Chiyangwa

I've been studying these two politicians, and I tell you there is need for one to remind them that Zimbabwe and politics is bigger than individuals. I've been listening to Kasukuwere rhetoric language against his enemies and as a young man he should restrain himself from abusive politics, you never know tomorrow the person who might be there to assist you. It is not good to use abusive language especially someone who is created by God's image. Tyson is still very young he can do a lot of progressive things in life, in fact he can live beyond politics. Chiyangwa also need to be reprimanded on certain things especially to always think he is on top of things and he is above everyone, this is not good as well. It is not good to attack the poor and use riches and resources to diminish others, or to finish others, it is always good to put resources into good use for development. This type of politics of finishing others is not necessary for our country considering the mess we are in.

Copy Walter Mzembi

Mzembi is a very good chap. I've been studying this guy very close. Suppose governments change, people like Mzembi will not have any problem. He is a very good young man who has a future to carry and he is always on the spot light for good things. In fact Mzembi has fruitful politics. He is a very smart guy when it comes to politics, he is principled and he does not involve himself in factional politics and he does not use politics of personality, his ideas are very constructive just like Francis Nhema. Mzembi can live with others in the community and can be easily accepted.
