Thank you editor for giving me the space to air my views, though I am a former member of MDC-T currently with PDP the views I am stating here are personal.
I have been following Mqondisi Moyo MRP president and his team especially his party's secretary for information and publicity Mbonisi Gumbo and I want to focus on these two gentlemen. I must admit that I am a fan of these guys.
While I don't agree with the secession part of what MRP is talking about, I must accept that these guys have been consistent for quite a long time about Matabeleland issues. I must admit that since the demise of ZAPU we have not had firebrand youthful leaders in Matabeleland like these. We have seen the Chamisas, Job Sikhala, Mazorodze etc doing it in Harare but now we have our own, Some of us admire EFF's way of doing things which we believe it has been lacking in our country.
I have an appeal to make to all of our Matabeleland people regardless of political affiliation lets all makesure that at least Mqondisi Moyo and Mbonisi Gumbo go to parliament. My plea is that may all the people from Matabelend see a need not to contest against these two as opposition parties. I expect everyone from Matabeleland regardless of party affiliation rallying behind these two young leaders.
I understand Cde Mqondisi Moyo will contest in Matobo North while Mbonisi Gumbo will contest for Bulawayo East all we need is these two guys to win. I dont care whether you are ZANU, MDC-T, NPP, PDP etc. These guys are talking real issues which many of us have failed to speak out against though we know about them.
These guys have been touching issues that no one or party have ever dared speak about. And I think it would be impressive to have them in Parliament, because they remind me of the likes of Sydney Malunga. May we have those with resources helping these guys with campaign materials because these mustn't lose no matter what.
