Time for Zimbabweans to fight for their future
30 Oct 2017 at 12:52hrs | Views
It is my heart's desire to be on God's side of this battle for justice and liberation of my people. I have a particular burden that occupies my heart, it is my desire to fight on behalf of the oppressed poor. It's not that I don't have compassion on all poor because I most certainly do. Every time when I see powerful forces taking advantage of the weak and desperate situations of the poor in order to fulfill their own selfish agenda, I get really passed off. It makes me angry as I see it as a great injustice. I find myself wanting to be an active participant in seeing that justice is established on behalf of those people too weak to fight for themselves
I define the oppressed poor as those whose plight is not a choice of their own making. Nor is it a consequence of their actions or attitudes but the result of being up against forces much too powerful for them to overcome on their own. This is the situation we are in as the oppressed poor Zimbabweans. We are in this situation because someone designed it for us.Someone too powerful but this powerful man forgets that there is a God in heaven and He watches over his children.
In Zimbabwe we have all kinds of oppression, from political oppression, economic oppression, religious oppression, cultural oppression and natural oppression. This results in innocent people, uninterested in politics ,who are just trying to survive, getting caught up in the crossfire. The outcome is that they are the losers at the end of the day.Why are we silent when our lives are being trumped upon.Who do you think is going to come and fight for us if not us.The time is now or we forever remain slaves till kingdom come.
Our opposition leaders have set the pace for us by agreeing to join the MDC Alliance. This grouping of powerful like minded opposition brains is our only hope for a new Zimbabwe. Let's help them by registering to vote in the 2018 plebiscite. President Morgan Tsvangirai, Hon Tendai Biti and Welshman Ncube have been fighting for us since 1999.The powerful forces within Zanu Pf wouldn't allow the opposition to take over power in 2008, now this is our last fight and fight we will.If we choose to take up the cause we will have someone in our corner who has more powers and has invested on this mission more than we do ,it's God.He feels our pain, our loneliness, feeling of hopelessness, and above all understand our suffering. But without our collective action as citizens, we might end up blaming God for our failures.
I believe that we are a group of ordinary men and women called on to do the extra ordinary things together in order to reach a common goal, which is to remove Zanu Pf and Mugabe from power through constitutional means. Jesus in his mission chose ordinary men to do extra ordinary things and because of faith they managed. These men had an existing bond before Jesus brought them together to fulfill their common purpose. It certainly wasn't their personal wealth or skill sets that Jesus was after, as there were certainly other wealthier and more talented. He saw something in their hearts that caused him to trust them with the keys to his Kingdom. I have seen something in you. Something that made you fight on behalf of the oppressed, on the side of the opposition and free the captives.
I think it is in the nature of men to build in some form or fashion.I want to build something for the oppressed poor that will make a significant difference in their lives. With the understanding I now have it must be built on the principle or foundation of justice. I want to do this with my fellow opposition brothers and sisters . I believe God is not done with us ,and we may In fact just be getting started. Let's pray for victory in the coming elections not a humiliating defeat. We have all raised families, have careers wasted by this evil regime and struggled to find place in God's Devine plan. Are we past our "use by date "or is there something still left for us to do together. I believe there is . Was our history together a thing of the past or is there still some destiny to fulfill as a group.
We are in that stage of life that naturally tends to shift our inner focus from offense to defense.Do we need to be known as a generation of cowards .Is retirement from politics our priority when our country is in a mess.Fear can often be the driving force behind our decisions. We tend to want to isolate and insulate ourselves from much that is going on in our country, as most of it is out of control.
The more I think about it, the more it dawned on me how self centered and self serving this feels. We are better than who we think we are . Today I want to encourage you to fight for something noble and on behalf of others who cant fight.Have a sense of adventure and not be scared of a mortal human being like you. There must be someone worth fighting for, someone who can appreciate the sacrifice you made, your children, your parents and your friends.
There is a world of battles to fight, adventures to go on and beauties to rescue, but often in the most unexpected places. I can't think of nothing more exciting or noble than putting men in need of battles together with people that need rescuing. The personal reward would be the life changing and I believe in the end everyone wins
History will keep repeating itself if we don't fight, those that are innocent and powerless become victims. Mankind's lust for power and wealth blinds him to the truth. We created the demeaning and oppressive environment that Mugabe and his revolutionary friends feed on. Arrogance and greed are not respectors of skin colour. Suddenly the liberators are now the oppressors as they fight to hang on to their power. They cannot fathom why Zimbabweans need change because they are delusional in their self importance
They are blinded by their ideology which has become their god. They are willing to sacrifice their own people to it and in their madness believe that the people should gladly embrace it for the good of the cause. Ideology is not the real issue, power is. For years it has been my conviction that God has a unique destiny for the people of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is standing at crossroads of destiny. The choices we are going to make now will determine our fate for another generation or more. We have to make the right choice. Do we. want pride, greed, jealousy and self ambition to rule our nation or we want peace
and prosperity.
Ask yourself these three questions:
- What do I want to leave behind, what is my legacy?
- Have I made a real difference in someone's life?
- Does my life matter ,what have I done with it?
If you don't have a positive answer to those questions then you have every reason to fight and change the status quo.I also think that failure has had a huge impact on shaping us as Zimbabweans. We have come face to face with our weaknesses. What do we do now.Do we fight or surrender.I choose to fight.Lets all remember that tomorrow belongs to the people who prepared for it today.Another Zimbabwe is possible
