Mugabe's opponents must up their game for 2018 elections

It is sad that with the 2018 election around the corner most of us are still in the dark on what the opposition parties are doing to prepare for this crucial polls.
Constitutionally, elections in Zimbabwe are supposed to be held next year from mid-year to any day or month after.
This is clearly a constitutional matter which is not open for negotiations as anything apart from that will be a suspension of the book of law and good governance.
This does not need the blessing of anyone and anyone hoping to contest in that election lackadaisically preparing must not cry foul or feel ambushed.
The Constitution cannot be suspended for the opposition to be organised, if they continue fighting waiting to mediated into forming a workable coalition at their pace.
The opposition parties seem to be just too many and judging by their actions they are likely to fail in the next elections if they do not organise themselves as soon as possible.
My concern is that they seem to have taken a back seat and all they do is just talk and no action.
One thing for sure, Zanu-PF is already busy campaigning be for the next election and encouraging their members to register to vote.
It is sad that if opposition parties have already started campaigning it is not visible.
All that people know is they opposition are not willing to come together and form one strong coalition instead of having many coalitions that at the end of the day will split the votes.
Another issue of concern is that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission stated months ago that there were 75 parties contesting in next year's elections, one wonders how many more have been added to that list and why so many parties.
It is sad that MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai is not feeling well adding to the confusion in the opposition camp.
And with Joice Mujuru and others forming another coalition. People are confused.
I would like to call upon the opposition to get their house in order and make sure that people are informed and they are also visible ahead of the 2018 elections.
It is high time opposition parties up their game otherwise they are bound to disappoint many Zimbabweans once again.
