Mugabe hoist by his own petard

15 Nov 2017 at 13:58hrs | Views
We are back online here in Mandamabwe and what a beautiful day in Zimbabwe. The military has served the people of Zimbabwe well, and must be commented for a job well done. We are in celebration mode here and a huge thank you to our army. Unlike other countries where people fought the military, in Zimbabwe we are celebrating the military and their professionalism. Who is afraid of the military? The tin-pot dictator and his handlers! Today is not a day to rub salt into anyone's wounds but a day to celebrate.

I just want to comment on the professionalism displayed by the Zimbabwe military so far:
Civil servants have been assured that they will continue to serve civilian, not military government. This is the army upholding the civil service code. Any civil servant who violates this code risks losing their job.

The judiciary has been assured of its independence as is enshrined in the bar code. Any judge who violates this injunction will be decertified.

The media has been asked to report responsibly; remember that a free media is the most effective antidote against all dictatorship.

The traditional leaders must continue molding our ethos.

The tin-pot dictator spend an inordinate amount on an elaborate scheme to protect himself and suppress people. He created layers upon layers of disguise - just in case one level fails - and showered youths, women, and sycophants with gifts. He never trusted the military completely, so he created a special private propaganda arm plus private security but could not match the professionalism of the Zimbabwe National Army. Despite the enormous amount he spend on elaborate layers of propaganda and scheming however, in the end, Mugabe was hoist by his own petard.

The tin-pot dictator had lost vision and had no agenda save perpetuating himself in power by liquidating all political opponents and stifling dissent.
