Social media users have warned the Defence Forces Commander General Constantino Chiwenga to be cautious not to allow President Robert Mugabe to regain power after the soft coup on condition that several general who attempted to unseat the now 93 year old leader were made to die mysteriously.

The warnings come after the military on Wednesday staged a soft coup which saw Mugabe being kept under military guard at his Blue roof house in Harare for almost three consecutive days.

The military were aimed at resolving the political impasse in the ruling party which they deemed was a security threat to the country.

Negotiations have been ongoing for the whole day today (Thursday) on his exist but indications were that he was either refusing to step down or agreeing to do so on several stringent conditions. Some sources claimed that there were some agreements that he remain president until end of December to retire after congress.

But social media users were sympathetic to Chiwenga if he allows Mugabe to be at the helm again saying this will be the time he (Chiwenga) will die.

One social media users who identifies self as Umzukulu Ka Sitsha said "Chiwenga should know this: If Mugabe survives this coup then he s a dead man walking. Lets remember what happened to many Army Generals who wr killed by the CIO."

In reminding him, the users said Chiwenga must remembers the case of General Paul Gunda who allegedly plotted a coup against Mugabe was found dead in a purported car accident. Another case was for General Solomon Mujuru who died in 2011 in a mysterious fire at his house after it was alleged he was plotting against the veteran lead.

They said what Chiwenga started is his licence to death.
