No to blackmail by the nurses

When nurses salaries fell into arrears during the Mugabe era, not a single nurse raised a 'stethoscope or injection' in protest. Now that we have a new pro-people and all ears President in the form of HE ED Mnangagwa, nurses go on strike for improved working conditions.
A closer look at the whole issue points to a third hand at play. Its no more about bread and butter issues but opposition politics at play. Unfortunately the nurses have allowed themselves to be used as bargaining tools by those bent on spoiling the broth.
The poor majority end up holding the tapered end of the evil arrangement and nefarious grand plan.
Some ill people end up succumbing to otherwise treatable diseases because of the inconsiderate industrial action by the nurses.
The government must not allow the masses to be held to ransom by the 'opposition hired nurses'. Its the dog that must wag the tail not for the tail to wag the dog. Yes its painful, but the authorities must stamp their authority.
Keep the re-hired retired nurses and the newly employed nurses, let the holier-than-thou fired nurses keep striking.
The New Era government is trying all its can to put the economy back on track so the cake gets bigger for everyone yet some of us decide to throw spanners in the works.
Stop it.
