Tempers are high and violence imminent in Magwegwe

01 Jun 2018 at 11:29hrs | Views
The situation in Magwegwe BULAWAYO is very volatile and the tempers are flaring. Mob Justice May meet people like GIFT Banda and ANELE NDEBELE  who are blamed for cheating the people from a DEMOCRATIC vote. The party will be Internationally held responsible if violence erupt from  Magwegwe. People are not stupid and won't let the politicians toy with them anymore.

Last week the election was postponed by a single text message that came from Banda Friday 12 midnight. 300 People lined up and were told Saturday morning to return home.

People in Magwegwe hl have had the highest number of former Zipra freedom fighters who feel that they went to war against the British so that they can have the right to vote and yet, MDC T led by young people who never went to war fail to understand the significance of an election that is free, fair and untainted by fraud. Technically the elections are delayed, all bent to frustrate people who are usually left in line for hours hoping to force many to give up and return home before  the staged voters are told to finally appear.

As we write this article, there is no venue and time assigned to this election election.  It can be held during the night after allowing people to wait and guess. There is no transparency in the way these elections are held. Every where we're this process had occurred a lot of chicanery happened.

It is alleged that Banda gave Election official Zvidzayi a stand to prevent election in Magwegwe. Banda also paid his Njube Lobengula opponents with stands stolen from the city of Bulawayo and muscled them  out of the race.

The residents have written letters and made calls to President Chamisa, who has ignored their calls. The residents have plans to take the Law into their hands, apply mob Justice and citizen arrests if the election is not timely conducted or not conducted at all.

Let the party officials be warned that all is not well in Magwegwe and the people's  wrath is awaiting them if they short changed the people any how.

It is under this highly charged environment that the people of Magwegwe are going to hold their primary elections. It is up to the leadership to avoid testing the temperatures of the people's tempers by doing bad election practices.

If the leadership has ears let them hear my warning and take it seriously.
