Zezurus fall from high positions as Karangas take over

29 Nov 2018 at 07:34hrs | Views
Like bags of maize dropping from a speeding truck, Zezurus that have been occupying strategic positions during Mugabe era are now falling in numbers as Mnangagwa's Karanga take over and build their own political power base.

Zimbabwe has not shifted an inch from divisive and destructive politics of tribe.

At the receiving end of the politics of tribal discrimination are Matabeles. We had no place in Mugabe's  first republic and have apparently been shut out of Mnangagwa's second republic.

MLO President, Cde Paul Siwela's prophetic words have come to pass. Five years ago he told Radio Nehanda, "the departure of President Robert Mugabe will not change anything in so far as the oppression of the Matebele Nation. It would continue as it is because  political leaders of Zimbabwe believe in discriminating the Matebele nation in its diversity."

After a few months of military junta rule, it has become clear to all and sundry that
one of Mnangagwa's major priorities is to nature, entrench and pursue oppression of Matabele people guided by the evil 1979 Grand Plan.

Matabeles  who are always on high alert have quickly noticed this and registered their discontent either through media or letters addressed directly to President Mnangagwa.

Notable letters that contained very important messages were from MLO President, Cde Paul Siwela reminding Mnangagwa of the Notice of Demand for the Restoration of Matabeleland State that is already in the President's office. And the all revealing petition from Chief Vezi Maduna Mafu of Filabusi telling Mnangagwa to address Matabeleland genocide and desist from marginalising Matabeles.

One would have thought that Mnangagwa drew a lesson from Mugabe's unsuccessful segregative policy towards Matabeles. But it seems the Crocodile cannot learn nor hear.

The exclusion of Matabeles from all strategic positions expose Mnangagwa's unprovoked tribal beef against the people of Matabeleland that backdates to the days of Matabeleland genocide.

Mnangagwa's weird views that Matabeles are cockroaches  still stand. He refuses to withdraw his hate speeches against the people of Matabeleland made at the height of Matabeleland genocide.

Given this institutionalised tribal discrimination of Matabeles from all spheres of life, tribal hatred that has resulted in Matabeleland genocide which continues to date and, unbearable oppression under the shona supremacist government of Zimbabwe, Matabele nation is left with no any other option than to unite and restore the statehood of Matabeleland.

SECURITY ORGAN

Unlike other professional armies in the world whose roles are strictly to defend their nations, the Zimbabwe army doubles as a tool of political change in the ruling party.  Former President Robert Mugabe stands as an example that he who does not have control of the army in Zimbabwe falls by the way side. Hence the army was Emmerson Mnangagwa's first port of entry towards wholesale tribal changes.

Zimbabwe Defence Forces ZDF Commander, General Philip Valerio Sibanda replaced Rtd General Chiwenga who threw away his camouflage and took up a position of Vice President after leading a successful coup.

Zimbabwe National Army Commander, Lt Edzai Absolom Chimonyo, replaced Valerio Sibanda who was promoted to the position of Zimbabwe Defense Forces Chief.

Commander of the Air Force of Zimbabwe, Air Marshal Elson Moyo replaced Perence Shiri who was appointed as Minister of Agriculture.

Director General of Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) Isaak Moyo, replaced Happyton Bonyongwe.

Commissioner General for Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Godwin Matanga replaced Augustine Chihuri . Godwin Matanga is Manyika and soon he will be replaced with a Karanga so is Paradzai Zimondi.

Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services  General still held by Paradzai Zimondi. Change is coming here.

Chairperson for Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, Priscilla Chigumba, replaced Rita Makarau. Priscilla Chigumba is accused of cooking up 2018 Presidential election results in favour of President Mnangagwa.

Home Affairs Registra General, Clemence Masango replaced Tobaiwa Mudede.

Chairperson of the Civil Servants Commission, (CSC) Vincent Hungwe, replaced Mariyawanda Nzuwah.

Commissioner General of Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) Gershem Pasi was replaced with Ms Faith Mazani.

CABINET

The cabinet is now dominated by Karanga people and more than half of permanent secretaries are Karanga.

The changes  extend to the banks and state owned companies where Karangas have become new bosses. This is in line with motos of the Lacoste faction "Chinhu chedu" (our thing) and "its our time to eat".

Count all these pivotal positions in the country and there is not even one Matabele person that was appointed. There were none during Mugabe's tenure, there are none in Mnangagwa's new dispensation. One million dollar question that Matabeles should ask themselves is that, are we Zimbabweans?

If your answer to the above question is yes then why are you treated like a second class citizen in your own country?  Wake up and smell the coffee! If your answer is no, you have seen the light. Let's join hands and liberate ourselves from the jaws of tribal oppression.

Now that the common enemy that united the coup makers, Mugabe, is gone, nothing keeps them together.

Politics of tribalism and greed is back to haunt the military junta, ripping it apart along tribal lines. At stake are positions of power, lucrative government tenders and the country 's vast mineral wealth. Three tribal factions are notable in ZANUPF. Mnangagwa's Lacoste which is in charge and dominated by Karanga, G40 that is mainly composed of Zezuru and has been taken over by Chiwenga, and Christopher Mutsvanga's new Manyika/ Ndau faction.

In Zimbabwe people do not contest for political positions to develop the country but they do so to be in a convinient position to steal from the poor.

This is exactly what has pitted the coup makers against each other. The corrupt and greedy know that the tribe which provides the president shall have unfettered access to the country's wealth.

When your enemy is divided you can sleep in its camp. But Matabeles must not sleep. Let us use this bonus index provided by God to aggressively mobilise and fight for the  reinstatement of Matabeleland independence and sovereignty that was lost on 3 November 1893.
