NSSA, when corruption has a body, shadow and soul
05 Aug 2019 at 14:32hrs | Views
Hurry up! Bring a satchel or a bucket, NSSA money is free. You heard about 'Manna from Heaven', miracles never stop happening, the well heeled had a field day or days at NSSA, when corruption has a body, shadow and soul.
The NSSA Audit Report is sickening if contents therein are anything to go by. Money everywhere except in the pockets of NSSA pensioners who are the epitome of extreme poverty in Zimbabwe. How could all that 'self empowerment' happen without anyone raising a red flag? Thumbs up to Hon. Temba Mliswa for blowing the whistle on NSSA dealings.
The firebrand Norton legislator is a no nonsense man who calls a spade by its name. Hate him, like him, 'Temba comes to town'. We are all eyes waiting to see what authorities will do with all those found with fingers in the NSSA pie. We very well remember the war cry, 'there will be no sacred cows'. Now is it not only fair that NSSA pensioners are paid a LIVING pension pay out.
The NSSA purse is 'bursting' at the seams with money. On the contrary the pensioners are elderly people with no voice and no credible representation. They get a pittance in monthly payments that cannot buy food and pain-killing medications.
Whilst powers that be are putting the NSSA house in order, give the pensioners generous monetary 'wait a minute' cushioning to ameliorate the suffering. We cannot talk of their welfare when they are getting eighty rtgs per month.
Help the poor elders.
