One of Our Greatest Heroines of All Times

I just want to pay tribute to our Golden lady, KIRSTY COVENTRY. She has succeeded in carrying the burden for the country for more than a decade and has achieved more than we could have asked for. I checked her website and all those countless medals (mostly Gold); She is just an extra ordinary human being.
Rumour has it that she refused numerous citizenship offers; that is from Canada, Australia and am sure the U.S.A and the Great Britain as well. Obviously some of us if not many could have grabbed such an opportunity with both hands (some even being sell-outs and are ready to sell the country for own selfish benefits). They saw that she is too good to be a Zimbabwean, but she showed them that she is a truly daughter of the soil and home is home though it is not so homely.
I suggest that she be given a position of the Minister of Sports. I believe the country can reap results ten folds from this talented heroine.
I look at my home town of Zvishavane and cannot remember if our only Mine Club swimming pool is still in proper working order (rather when it was last used). We are only luck that Mimosa helped upgrade Mandava Stadium for Platinum FC but for the Ma-Glass Sports facilities (once very attractive), are in a state of disarray. I do not think we need the beaches of this world, but ordinary well maintained sports facilities and a dedicated ministry to head such and the country may boast such talent.
Such people who achieved so much must be fully recognised â€" we need Her services and someday the country will be proud.
The very day they announced they have signed him is the very same day I started supporting this team and I am happy that many South African clubs are now paying their players well, thanks to this talented star.
I followed all the clubs Benjani played for, from Jomo Cosmos tol Man City etc. A lot of those entire sports man/women not mentioned note you do us proud. When they represent us outside our borders, we are happy that they are putting the country on the Map and we put our tribal issues aside (I wish that 1 day this is forever).
If such talent serve the country then we can produce a lot. It is good to have many of these as they not only make a name for themselves but do more for the communities as history has shown.
Lady, you have done us proud and your services can even see us winning a lot of GOLD Medals in future with many communities' lives being changed for the best. I salute you for everything discipline, peace loving, love for your country etc. May the Lord shower you with plenty plus of blessing?
