Zimbabwean men facing rape charges in the UK because of cultural norms
23 Sep 2020 at 16:03hrs | Views
Over a hundred Zimbabwean men in the UK have been either charged or convicted of rape. Most rape charges in the UK are due to cultural differences and sheer ignorance.
The Crime Survey for England and Wales for the year ending March 2018 showed that police recorded 150,732 sexual offences, encompassing rape (53,977 cases) and sexual assault, and also sexual activity with children.
Most sexual assaults are carried out by someone known to the victim. This could be a partner, former partner, relative, friend or colleague. The assault may happen in many places, but is usually in the victim's home or the home of the alleged perpetrator (the person carrying out the assault). Of this number African men are over a third.
By nature an African man is loving only that he expresses his love in a way regarded as criminal in the Uk. What exactly is rape in law. Rape is one type of sexual violence. Sexual violence is the general term we use to describe any kind of unwanted sexual act or activity.
The legal definition of rape is 'penetration with a man's organ of the woman's organ' Organ for women includes the back organ or mouth of another person without their consent'.
In law, sexual consent is when we agree by choice, and have the freedom and capacity to make that choice.
That means that someone cannot give their consent when they are: scared or threatened, bullied, very drunk or under the influence of drugs, or asleep.
If you said 'yes' to something because you were scared for your life or safety, or for the life or safety of someone you care about, you didn't consent.
If your body froze or 'flopped' / went limp or you weren't able to speak, it doesn't mean you gave your consent for what happened to you. This has been the greatest prison pass for many Zimbabweans. The girl goes silent and in a Zimbabwean man's mind silence means yes.
Miros Denga of Leeds United Kingdom a Zimbabwean born British will never forget the day his white girlfriend lost her voice. He took his girlfriend to his house. Miros had never been intimate with her girlfriend. When they arrived home Miros started the out of the game warm-up otherwise known as foul play. One thing led to the other and before he knows what was happening he was knowing the girl intimately. The girl responded even held Miros tight during the cursed occasion.
Miros recalled after the adult play that the girl said to him" Miles what happened?" Trying to be English Miros whom the girl called Miles smiles and said "thank you babes. It was great" The screamed and said I did not agree. I was shocked and I froze. I could not say anything. I am disgusted and she left the house but not showing signs of upset. Five days later Moros saw a number of police officers at his door.
He was arrested and charged of rape. The judge said " Silence means NO." Miros for his failure to read silence language he is now serving a five year term of rape. He did not understand his girlfriend and paid heavily. He will be deported after serving his sentence. Would this have been rape in another jurisdiction?
Rape or sexual assault is a serious crime.
All rape and sexual assault is serious. The terms rape and 'sexual assault' are used simply to differentiate between two types of offence. So what's the difference? The difference. Is in rape the male organ has to penetrate and in sexual assault the penetration is anything which is not a male organ.
Assault by penetration is when a person penetrates another person's organ front or back with any part of the body other than or by using an object, without the person's consent.
The overall definition of sexual or indecent assault is an act of physical, psychological and emotional violation in the form of a sexual act, inflicted on someone without their consent. It can involve forcing or manipulating someone to witness or participate in any sexual acts.
Not all cases of sexual assault involve violence, cause physical injury or leave visible marks. Sexual assault can cause severe distress, emotional harm and injuries which can't be seen – all of which can take a long time to recover from. This is why we use the term 'assault', and treat reports just as seriously as those of violent, physical attacks.
The biggest problems with our Zimbabwean men who have settled for our white sisters is that they do not understand that yes does not mean sex grunted. Many of those in prisons now are victims of what has become to be known as Date rape, which also referred to as acquaintance rape, happens more often than sexual assaults committed by strangers. Yet, date rape is often unreported because the victim knows their attacker and doesn't want to cause problems within their relationship or social circle. But regardless as to whether a rape has been committed by a stranger or someone you know, it's a crime. And those who are not from your circle do not hesitate to report the rape to the police.
Misheck Midzi an orison officer in the UK said" many Zimbabweans are in prison because the girl felt bad afterwards and the poor guy is a victim of passion"
Date rape is sex that is forced on you by someone you know such as a new partner, colleague, friend or social acquaintance. It can happen anywhere at any time; your home, or someone else's, a club or bar, or even at a party with people in the next room who remain oblivious to what's happening. Sadly, some people believe that if someone who has experienced date rape was under the influence at the time, it is their fault. Nothing could be further from the truth – no one, whether inebriated or not – deserves to be assaulted. The important thing to remember is that if you've resisted verbally or physically, if you've said no, or if you've been unable to say no due to the effects of drugs or alcohol, its rape. Many people only realise that when they ate in handcuffs.
Brian Mpofu of Nottingham os serving 22 years in prison. He changed the course of his life when he decided to welcome his weekend in a nearby pub.
He
Mate two beautiful white girls who were enjoying their wine. They asked him to join then and within minutes they were enjoying their union. After few hours they invited him to their House. In the process, he became more closer to one of the girls Cloe. They went up stairs to exchange their sweetness. Cloe fell asleep after this fling. So Brian went back downstairs where the other girls showed interest to have him visit their honey comb. The night went fast and in the morning one of the girls complained that she does not remember consenting. She then called in the police. Within few minutes the police swamped the place.
Brian was arrested. On the trial day all the four girls had changed their stories. They stood by their friend. Them too claimed that they were raped. Four counts of rape Brian was sentenced to thirty years seven suspended for good behaviour.
The Zimbabwean man in the UK diggs his prison road using his man wood. This is mainly because he ignores the way the English do their things. Speaking their language does not mean you are friends. Many men in prison are there because they took an affair for granted.
Most of the Zimbabweans on rape charges or serving sentences for rape the complainant is either a white girl or a none Zimbabwean none African girl.
Men always believe that if a girl goes with you to the hotel room it means she agrees to whatever follows. This is one way to prison.
We grew up being told that girls never say yes and that they love it with some little force. Many men now sit in a prison cell wondering was that little force necessary.
The English system os open to abuse with the girls making a complaint simply because the guy did not rise to the occasion or simply that the girl feels a black man was not enough or the real boyfriend has found out.
George Magombo of London invited church mates to a Friday prayer. After the prayer one lady decided to stay behind. When Magombo's children went to sleep the lady started crying complaining about her husband whom she said had gone for a night duty.
After sobbing and complaining Magombo sought to comfort her. One thing led to the other and in the other. After some time the bull drank water. Magombo drove the lady to her house around 3-am.
On arriving home the lady saw that the husband was back. Stuck with no explanation to give the woman cried rape.
George was arrested three days later and he was sentenced to three years in prison.
These things could be avoided but our men do mot think when the other man in them is active. For that failure to think many Zimbabweans have graced her Majesty's Correctional services.
