What criteria is going to be used for Gukurahundi criteria?

How do you compensate for loss of life, 20000 of them. Humiliation through tortue and rape, some of it resulting an pregnancy and children. Growing up without a father or mother. Fear and psychological trauma which has lasted for decades. How do you compensate for cultural humiliation and subjugation? How do you compensate for hidden truth, for scars visible and unseen.
Indeed how do you deal with the generations who are still affected decades later.
We really hope that one day, just one day the pain and reality of Gukurahundi will stop being used as an easy election message for those seeking political support from especially Matebeleland and the Midlands.
We have always insisted that this is a reality which needs to be tackled for purposes of nation building and never for porpulist grandstanding before and during election campaigning and never after elections.
We would not be surprised if 'compensation' lists like the 'jobs' lists start making the rounds in Matebelaland and Midlands."
