'Factionalism ripping Zanu PF apart'

04 Apr 2014 at 18:04hrs | Views

Rocket science isn't required to reach the logical conclusion that the "revolutionary" party is being irreparably ripped apart by vicious factional fights.

Only people of genuinely unsound mind would fail to appreciate that the divide between the two main factions in that rag tag political grouping is getting wider by the day.

Rope in the snide manipulation of the public print and electronic media and then the fiasco becomes even more pronounced! As I have stated before, we are now witnessing the end of days.

The minor problems that are currently facing the MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai are nothing compared to the monumental and gigantic factional fights that are presently playing out in the "revolutionary" party.

It is dog eat dog in Zanu PF. Comrade is tearing apart comrade! The sheer viciousness and intensity of the Zanu PF factional fighting is simply beyond comprehension.

Surely, the gods must be crazy! This is why some of us foresee a complete and irretrievable breakdown and disintegration of the "revolutionary" party. It is just a matter of a few months before everything comes down tumbling like a deck of cards.

This is now time for the MDC to re-package itself; create new political synergies and of course, prepare to peacefully and constitutionally take over State power.

The MDC has to re-position itself since, quite obviously, the "revolutionary" party has seen better days; it is incorrigibly divided and soon it is going to implode.

We have to re-define ourselves as a new-look Pan-Africanist political party with a solid grounding on a social democratic benchmark.

Those countries that think they can somehow manipulate us; choose and handpick our leadership for us should be boldly told to go to hell.

We are going to define and choose our own leadership as and when we want. We are our own masters. We are nobody's puppets and indeed, we need no puppeteers.

Zimbabwe is our homeland and we are going to continue to peacefully, relentlessly and constitutionally fight for our beloved country's total socio-economic and political emancipation. Our resolve is insurmountable.
