Tsvangirai sinking into political oblivion

Morgan Tsvangirai is fast losing political glitter as it is precipitated by the sudden flight of sponsors. He has gone bankrupt of both cash and ideas. Some professionals who belong to the party like Advocate Eric Matinenga, Jessie Majome and Tendai Biti retreated to their law firms where they are practicing as well as acting as political players. While semi literates like Tsvangirai and Thokozani Khupe have nowhere to go except clinging to party leadership where they have lost credibility. This is the root cause of our problems in MDC-T.

These are desperate personalities that cannot survive outside the party. Hence, their arrogance and irrational perspectives and actions about leadership renewal which is peddled by hardliners while it is so imperative and clear to us all that they should leave now.

It is quite clear that Tsvangirai is now surviving on handouts from well-wishers after the sudden flight of our sponsors who lost confidence and trust in his political prowess due to acute lack of expediency and political acumen. Interestingly, this man has no investments which can sustain his personal family life-style. In his life time he was never a professional who can revert to that profession and eke a living out of it like what his colleagues are doing now.

His battered professional and academic background is impacting on us negatively as he considers himself the life president of MDC-T. We need people who are selfless, and give precedence to party interests ahead of personal interests like what Tsvangirai is doing.

Of late he depended much on donations from the Botswana President, Ian Khama, who gave him bailout packages here and there. It seems he is equally tired of funding a hopeless politician like him.  But it's sad to note that he is failing to buy himself groceries for the family.

In politics if one has no cash, chances of success are next to zero. Therefore, Tsvangirai is like a person who is standing on loose sand in a flooded river. Certainly he will be drowned by the overflowing river. Chances of his survival in the dynamics of Zimbabwean politics are so low considering his bankruptcy. He is sinking into political oblivion while we watch.

This is his opportune time for him to leave active politics and pave way for democracy to rule, lest he will be a living example of ridicule sooner than later. His political interference with the voice of democracy is blunderous.
