Someone must just apologise and resign - Warriors OUT
01 Jun 2014 at 19:30hrs | Views
Zimbabwe 2 - 2 Tanzania, Tanzania wins 3 - 2 on aggregate.
This means Zimbabwe were knocked out of the AFCON qualifiers by TANZANIA.
Someone must just apologise and they resign. We didnt assemble our best squad. This was not the best Zimbabwean football talent.
Denver Mukamba cant play better than Charles Sibanda. Where is Vusa Nyoni to play LB? Whats happening to Prichard from Charlton Athletic? Is George better than Arubi?
Losing to Tanzania at this stage of AFCON qualifiers is just embarassing ! No amount of explanations will make us understand what these clowns are doing with our game. Zimbabwe football deserve better than this.
Gorowa gambled with His funny team selection at CHAN but He has been exposed. Eric Chipeta is a RB at Hwange and Milton is an attacking midfielder and forward at Highlanders. What was He seeing that Nation Dube and Kelvin Kaindu were not seeing? Now its difficult not to believe His player agent allegations!
He created a non-existant crisis for certajn positions to justify the inclusion of His players. We have tried and tested players like Bhasera and Vusa Nyoni.
What happened to the high performance technical team?
There is no short cut to success in football. As long as junior football remain a peripheral issue of importance, this cycle of failure will characteristically remain with us. I think ZIFA must just forget about the so called 'senior team' for now and concentrate on a new generation of U17s and U20s for the next coming 5 years.
During COSAFA & CHAN tournaments, they must send these youngsters! Generally in Zimbabwean football, we seem to have created a football culture that does not reward youthful talent. There is so much quick fix mentality that is retarding the growth of football. The junior footballer's quota system that PSL proposed is a novel idea. How many of our PSL teams registered the 5 junior players? I dont support the idea of PSL teams registering 35 players per season !

Ahhhhhhh, FT 2-2, we bow out at the preliminary stage. I had hope, even with 3 minutes of stoppage remaining, but it was not to be, what do we do, what is the problem, is it our ZIFA, is it the poor selection of our National teams over the years and now, is it the lack of support from the media, government and other stakeholders, is it the poor structures of our game in which we give little attention to our Junior football, resulting in always trying short cuts to qualify, is it the lack of proper strategic planning with set goals to achieve say in the next five or ten years. What next now, do we start afresh with a bunch of young players ahead of 2017, what should we do now, wait for CHAN, recall everyone at ZIFA and everyone within the national team, to kick start everything. I don't know, disappointing. who can correct this now, is it the strike that contributed.
You cant go back to the drawing board, when the drawing board is not there in the first place, we need the drawing board first and then we can start thinking of who will do the drawing for us on the board. Anyone willing to look for the board out there ahead of 2017 and 2018, now is the time to do so. Mina Zwi!!!!!

Some notable blunders by Ian Gorowa:
1.The goalkeeping position. You cant fly Arubi juss to bench him
2.Three of the Back four were played off position.Chipeta and Jaure play RB at club level for Hwange and Dynamos,But he played them as CB's.Milton is a midfielder cum striker at Bosso but he played LB for the zim warriors.
2.He played two defensive links when we needed goals and our game was characterised by endless back passes, and played club benchwarmers Karuru and Mukamba offposition as wingers.
3.Mukamba and Karuru play too much to the gallery, giving opposition tym to recover.
4.Having two goalkeepers's coaches.in his technical team,strange hey!

I said it that under Cuthbert Dube Zimbabwean football won't go anywhere. The man bribed people on his way to winning ZIFA elections and worse he is cursed by millions of Zimbabweans who he swindled of their medical aid contributions at PSMAS. We will fire all coaches and change all players but the curse on ZIFA's thrown will always follow us.

I love the warriors but I strongly dislike Pasuwa and Gorowa's tactics. You want to outscore your opponents yet you play to defensive midfielders. No outright winger, basically the warriors are sterile in the middle of the park. No creativity whatsoever. The creative players have been thrown to the wings for only what the devil, pasuwa and gorowa know. I will be vindicated at the end of the day.
