Politics without 'Chimurenga' is vague

In as much as Zimbabweans from different corners of life deliberate on the possible solutions for our country, any move not punctuated by the revolutionary cause, is a step misdirected and in the wrong direction altogether.

As the old saying goes "never damn the bridge you have crossed", our history should continue to guide us by all means possible.

My contribution comes as I mourn the still birth by Marcelina Chikasha the leader of a newly formed African Democratic Party (ADP).

The thrust of the political path sounds good for the common good of every Zimbabwean but to punctuate it by fore going and rubbishing revolutionary efforts was unbelievably misleading and suicidal.
The US and Britain, the so called icons of democracy preserve their independence gains by making national service compulsory to keep the independence mode alive. It is however, disheartening to have a mother bickering a fault start by demeaning the effort that necessitated her entry into politics in the first place.

What Chikasha needs to bear in mind is that, one rogue war veteran she might have encountered cannot tarnish the whole lot of selfless individuals who won the country back from the claws and jaws of colonizers.

Just to reflect on their selflessness, a visit on the farms and tobacco floors will show much of those farmers are young adults who did not see nor hear the sound of the gun.

Chikasha is just but another sad testimony to those who quickly forget coming after the infamous success story of indigenization in the telecoms industry.

Most people do not realize that Strive Masiiwa's empire is as a result of the black empowerment drive. The business tycoon celebrates today the life of Father Zimbabwe Joshua Nkomo's as he contributed and necessitated the existence of Econet.

Each state has founding principles which become sacred and taboo to dare challenge. Blood was spilt and that makes nation state sanctified. Politicians of Chikasha's make fight against nature, which one can wittingly declare insanity.

The example of MDC, isn't enough? Can't she see how the party has been denudating from a party into splinters and now towards gaseous form (invisible)? It is not just about politicking but lets develop a political culture that will benefit generations to come, the same way we are benefitting from the liberation war efforts.

Iet me hasten to say my opinion is not inspired by antagonism against opposition politics. It is directed to those misguided elements who want to commercialize for their immediate benefit, that which makes us "vanh". Hatingarasi mbereko nenhamo" guys.
Let's be proud of who we are as a people
