The revolutionary party Zanupf has engaged in a massive campaign on facebook social site.

On a recent post by a Zanu Pf Youth League official John J. F. Bukutu, on the Zanu pf Youth League facebook group he said: "Can we have more ZANU PF facebook groups please....where ever you are..create ZPF group page... universities, countries, cities, schools etc... and espouse the kind of Zimbabwe the young want and deserve. Let us craft and sell a future Zim that the youth can believe in and let us actually start to build it... wherever we are. In ten years or less statecraft will be in our hands... are we ready? are we preparing?"

Social Media has recently been used as a political campaign tool in all democracies and it helped US President Barack Obama to win the Presidency

Recently 39-year-old Vikas Mavhudzi has become Zimbabwe's first "Facebook arrest" after posting a comment on the social network on February 13, 2011 at about 2PM, according to New Zimbabwe. He is being charged with "subverting a constitutional government" for commenting on a Facebook page allegedly belonging to Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai. Here's his message, according to SW Radio Africa:

I am overwhelmed, I don't want to say Mr. or PM what happened in Egypt is sending shockwaves to dictators around the world. No weapon but unity of purpose worth emulating, hey.
