Grace blames lack of visionary leaders for Bulawayo's decline; it's the Zanu PF dictatorship to blame

16 Oct 2014 at 06:45hrs | Views
Grace Mugabe blames the decline in service delivery in Bulawayo to the quality leaders in the city not knowing that the Zanu PF dictatorship is incapable of producing such leaders. She is a scatter-brain with no clue what she is wittering about!

She tells us it was the "lack of vision and inefficiency of the political leadership in Bulawayo" that has resulted in the decline in service delivery in the city.

The decline in service delivery is not unique to Bulawayo city alone; every city, town, growth point, village and homestead across the length and breadth of this land has suffered the decline in health, education and every other service one can think of. There has been total lack of quality leadership in the whole country and not just in Bulawayo.

"Dr Nkomo (Late Vice President) is surely not happy because we are undoing what he did," wittered the scatter-brain.

So what are we to infer from that: that Bulawayo and the rest of the country was thriving and prospering until the late VP's death in 2012?

There has been a complete lack of quality and visionary leadership in Zimbabwe for 34 years. The creation of this Zanu PF dictatorship has killed all meaningful debate and competition - the only real tests guaranteed to separate the grain from the chuff, quality leaders from the idiots – from within the nation at large and within Zanu PF itself.

You Madam; what competition did you really face before you were elevated to lead the Zanu PF Women's League? Now you are holding rallies across the country campaigning to be VP and then President; everyone else is not allowed to be even nominated for any party position much less hold rallies. What kind of competition is that for Pete's sake? How dare you talk therefore of visionary and efficient leaders as if this dictatorship is capable of producing any such leaders.

MDC should have implemented the democratic reforms designed to dismantle the Zanu PF dictatorship and free the country to have meaningful debate and competition and free, fair and credible elections. This time Zanu PF has a much more focused and not to be bribe or bamboozled adversary as was the case with MDC – the economy.

RG Mugabe has failed to rig economic recovery and as long as this Zanu PF regime remains in power the economic meltdown will only get worse. 62% of the people are poor and 16% or 2 million are already living in abject poverty; this cannot go on for much longer. Zanu PF will be forced to admit it has failed and this time the democratic reforms will be implemented, all of them. The people of Zimbabwe will finally have their first ever free, fair and credible elections denied them all these years and with them the visionary and competent leaders the nation has been dying for!
