Mugabe twisted logic on election is as irrational as a freed slave demanding 'right' to own slaves!

The EU has announced that it is lifting all trade and travel sanctions against all Mugabe's cronies except those against him and his wife and the Union will also deal directly with regime and thus completing the EU – Zimbabwe re-engagement. Still Mugabe was able to travel to Austria under cover of a UN conference being held in that country.
At a cocktail hosted for him by the Zimbabwe mission to Austria Mugabe talked about sanctions – what else. He once again dismissed the reason that his regime had failed to hold free, fair and democratic elections given by the western countries for imposing the sanction maintaining that was not true.
"They can't say we're not democratic, which is what was said as the reason, a reason, given to Europe by Britain. It was Britain under Mr (Tony) Blair at the time. We fought for our democracy, against the British for that matter," Mugabe told his listeners.
"We never had democracy under the British. We freed our people, gave them freedom, gave them independence, the right to self-determination and here is a country which yesterday was oppressing us, which yesterday was denying us democracy, which yesterday had seized our land, which yesterday had made us semi-slaves now saying to Europe 'Zimbabwe is undemocratic'.
"The act of independence in 1980 was the act that ushered freedom and independence, democracy and every five years we've held elections, 'one-man one-vote' as we used to call them. Now we dare not call them that, they're 'one-person one-vote'."
Yes Mr Mugabe it is true that the blacks did not have "democracy under the British". The act of independence in 1980 SHOULD have ushered freedom, justice, liberty, human right and dignity and one-person one-vote for all Zimbabweans the truth is it DID NOT do so. You have vowed that "What was achieved by the bullet cannot be changed by the ballet!" And you have pursued all manner of dirty tricks including intimidation, beatings, rape, vote rigging and even committed politically motivated murders to ensure no elections in Zimbabwe will ever produce regime change.
If you still maintain Zanu PF have delivered one-person one-vote then you must accept it has come with one-person one-veto and that person with the veto was R G Mugabe.
It is nonsensical to impose the Zanu PF 'no regime change' mantra on the nation and still maintain such elections are democratic.
The British are no more different from the Confederate whites during the American civil war who were fight for the "right" to be slave-owners. What Mugabe is doing now is the equivalent to the freed black slave starting another civil fighting for the "right" to enslave their own fellow blacks and claiming that the Confederates enjoyed the same right! Is it any wonder Zimbabwe is in a real mess, what else when the country has had the great misfortune of being led by such an irrational tyrant for all these years!
