Mujuru supporters back-stabbing others - cannot defend their rights no wonder they failed to defend those of others

According to a report in the The Sunday Mail former Energy and Power Development Minister Dzikamai Mavhaire leaked information implicating his Deputy, Engineer Munacho Mutezo in the alleged siphoning of Zesa funds to bankroll the Mujuru faction's campaign. He did this in a desperate effort to save himself from the purge. Apparently Mavhaire is not the only Mujuru supporter back-stabbing theirs just to save himself.

Using ZESA resources for party activities is not acceptable but then how many millions did ZESA and other State Institutions contribute directly and indirectly to Zanu PF election activities in last year's elections alone! It is a crime now because Mugabe did not support this Mujuru faction.

This new crime called factionalism is a complete and utter nonsense. Mai Mujuru has done nothing wrong in seeking the support of party members for her bid to retain her position as VP. The party members who gave her their support did no wrong in doing so. This is the same nonsense we have seen repeated so many times with opposition member being accused of having a regime change agenda because they had dared exercise their democratic right to having a meaningful role in the governance of the country.

Why some of these Zanu PF members are falling over themselves to apologize is typical of these men and women of little substance; they have neither the political spin nor the conviction to stand up to this corrupt and murderous tyrant. If these morons cannot even stand-up and be counted when it is their own basic rights that are been threatened and thrashed it is no surprise that for 34 years they have done nothing when it was the humanity, freedoms and rights of the ordinary people and the very survival of the nation itself that were at stake.

Well now that Mai Mujuru, the seven ministers and one deputy minister the will be a lot more civil servants, security personal and other from the parastatals to join them. Civil servants and parastatals bosses close to senior Zanu PF officials who have fallen in the party's factional fights fear a backlash which could see them being purged too.

To say that the civil service, security sector, parastatals and many, many other sectors of the Zimbabwe society had not been politicised is to deny that day is day. All those working in these bodies and institutions got their jobs because of their political connections and not what they know. And so if your political mentor has been purged it is almost certain that you too are next for the chop, especially these days of serious economic meltdown when there so, so many chasing very few jobs.

The civil service and all these institutions are notoriously over manned and so there are going to be deep cuts; "load shedding" Mugabe's style. Needless to say that those with no backer at the high-table are almost certain to get the sack.

The irony is all these ministers and civil servants who are now losing their jobs have over the years seen nothing wrong with the politicisation of every facet of Zimbabwe society! Many of them have played a very active role in creating and perpetuating this corrupt and wasteful political system. It is good that they should have a chance to taste a bucketful of their medicine!

Ladies and gentlemen, comrades and friends, perhaps when you have had some first-hand experience what it really means to be poor you will join us in the call for democratic reform and an end to this corrupt and tyrannical regime you have propped up all these years. There are some of you who are hoping that Zanu PF will welcome you back and it will be back to the good old days; you are deluding yourself. The only way the country is ever getting out of this mess is by first dismantling the Zanu PF dictatorship that got us into the mess.
