14 Dec 2014 at 19:30hrs | Views
AS THE MOTHERLAND promenade towards the conclude of the definitive segment of a tough swop, decisions pertaining a superlative future have long been stored subliminally in the MDC-T waiting to be unleashed on or before 2018. MDC-T gives - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL!
The recently elected executives of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) led by Dr. Morgan Tsvangirai took a shot left into Johannesburg and met the South African Province executives for a productive indaba discussion the party's new direction. Things will never be the same again in the MDC-T. Whilst Zanu-PF is burning, the MDC-T is focused on making Zimbabwe a better place for all with - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
The people's party of excellence, the MDC-T under President Morgan Tsvangirai is a force for bona fide change, a red well oiled locomotive for real transformation. The party's foundation was dug and its edification was through the working community of Zimbabwe as a noteworthy response to a desperate despondency, disempowerment and break down of rule of law through sponsored violence from the Mugabe led Zanu-PF because its hopelessness was and is pronounced in bone and mind alike.
In the same way the Constitution warrants the freedom of speech, there is ultimately no freedom after speech in Zimbabwe as the state sponsored thugs do not hesitate to pounce upon being unleashed. Furthermore there is another constitutional right to freedom of congregation which is directly infringed by Public Order Safety and Security Act (POSA) which is an illegal maneuver unleashed by the wrinkle-licker nutty motor-mouth Professor Jonathan Moyo; this is never an Act of Parliament. POSSA does not have a residence in any democratic state as it prohibits the citizens from engaging in groups.
With this entire in mind it is unfortunate that the political ambiance never certified the security of the vote, security of the voter and security after the vote, no jingoistic Zimbabwean would cast for the iniquity and wickedness in Zanu-PF, hence there was no voting amongst themselves at Mugabe's last congress.
MDC-T is at an incremental process and this is as a result of a clear discernment of democracy as a process not a finished product, which comes with liberties in all its forms is also forever under refinement. This informs the strategies and tactics employed by the party around the key party congress resolutions of 2014. In 2006 the party adopted the sign posts to peace, democracy, legitimacy, reconstruction and national healing.
The political field very unpredictable and will continue to be so. As confirmed by Robert Mugabe at his last Zanu-PF congress that the MDC-T resoundingly won elections in July 2013 with a 73%, still Zanu-PF clung to power and massively rigged the elections. They rigged to an extent that they were even shocked and choked upon thinking of celebrating the landslide.
The recent Zanu-PF conference exposed Robert Mugabe who has become so hopelessly out touch and out of step with everything that is happening in Zanu-PF, let alone Zimbabwe. He has been reduced to an old man who speaks with an open mouth and a dead mind. Why is Robert Mugabe making a fool of himself?
In some mysterious circumstances the former MDC-T Youth Assembly Solomon Madzore and the former Secretary General of the MDC-T who coupled up as the Finance Minister in the joint-government were awarded back their parliamentary seats after a broadcast that they had lost. A tough challenger of Mugabe, Madzore who was incarcerated for the Glen View murder for more than a year, was suddenly released by Zanu-PF and won his seat amid allegation that he had lost. As soon as he was released he bought an SUV and a house, yet the party and well wishers were taking care of his family. Many were not offended when he left the party together with Tendai Biti.
Like how one MDC-T legislator put it, the MDC-T entered into a political bedroom with our political cousin Zanu-PF, and wretchedly, it was thorny and barbed to come out of that bedroom without the body odour of the other.
Under the auspices of Hon. Abednico Bhebhe who is the recently elected Organizing Secretary of the party, the party MDC-T is rebranding and taking the right direction. The change in the MDC-T starts with you, and me like how Ghandhi put it- be the change that you want see, and yes we can bring that change in Zimbabwe as the MDC-T.
The MDC-T's shared vision is having a new Zimbabwe that has all citizens' humanitarian rights entrenched in the constitution being promoted and protected, with a dynamic economy, an open democracy and just society with - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
Effectively the structures of the democratic party are going to be consistently under check so as to make sure that they are adhering and functioning as mobilizing tools for voters in the next coming elections. The structures also will be in an orderly and effective manner that will yield results of a sound information on social democracy which will lead to - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
Zanu-PF's policies on inta alia indigenization, ZIMASSET and the notorious land reform have only benefited the elites. With this in mind the MDC-T has strong values on social democracy and it believes that this is the only way Zimbabwe will change gradually, peacefully and democratically for the purposes of having - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
The party's programmes which are going to be introduced are all aimed at adding numbers back into the party and winning people's hearts again. There are many programmes and projects that are going to benefit the society, especially the unemployed youths and the elderly in rural and urban areas so that there will be - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
The party programmes are all inclusive and they cater for everyone in the new Zimbabwe. The way programmes are aligned, are in a way that everyone from the grassroots to the president will par-take in. traditional leadership, war veterans, the elderly, the handicapped, organized labour, the church, informal sector, youths, women and the girl child will all benefit. The programmes and projects are aligned with the aims and values of the party and will give a clear picture that the MDC-T is indeed a party of - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
One of the first programmes that the party is bankrolling is the post congress reconciliation and realignment which is aimed at making peace between those who lost in the last congress. It is vital to go through this process as an oversight has detrimental effects. The party will also do an intensive structural audit, revitalization and rejuvenation, where every head is going to be accounted for. This is all aimed at having a one MDC-T that has principles and is serious and ready to lead Zimbabwe with - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
Another exciting episode will be the candidate selection and training. The candidates for the parliamentary and local government elections will be chosen and trained well ahead of time together with the polling station agents. There will no room for intimidation and voting rigging anymore for Zanu-PF. The party will also engage the grassroots and mobilize and recruit everyone for every vote counts. Lastly there will be an international engagement through global advocacy. Whatever affects Zimbabwe automatically affects Africa, especially Southern Africa and the whole world at large. The party will join hands and form formidable relationships will other nations so that Zimbabwe will benefit. The MDC-T strives to achieve a Zimbabwe with - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
With the guidance of President Tsvangirai and the creative executive that surrounds him, the MDC-T is aimed at greater heights. There are workable programmes that have largely proved to be connected to people issues which are value-centred and principled. With President Morgan Tsvangira MDC-T is destined for glory and we have -EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
Irrespective of color, age, sex, tribe, race, weight, length, width, height, gender, political and social ideology, there will be - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
Free Zimbabwe, Mugabe must go!
Equal opportunities for all!
