MORGAN TSVANGIRAI; my President in waiting; our President; the People's Choice. If there is one perennial truth about my President Morgan Tsvangirai's character, it is the fact that he has typically endured bruising challenges during which a few battles were lost, and many were won before the war against one Robert Mugabe is finally fought, where indeed The People's Choice will be triumphant. Indeed Morgan Tsvangirai has won and is still standing years on. This truism explains the raging demonization that he has undergone in the political field by Zanu Pf and Robert Mugabe. He has suffered all this in an attempt to have a Zimbabwe with – EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
Zanu Pf's preoccupied-with-nothing-malcontents in our midst over the last few years have worked overtime relentlessly but to no avail, with a specific allusion to dismantle the People's Choice, Morgan Tsvangirai.
Morgan Tsvangirai is a man who is connected with the right cause all the time, and that has indeed saved the day for the face behind the opposition party. The President of the MDC-T is a man of great faith. He might not have been declared a winner of any election officially, but he has won all elections that he stood with against one Robert Mugabe. At least the latter had the audacity to declare that Morgan Tsvangirai had won by a rousing 73 percent of the last election. The truth has got a funny way of coming out.
I least expected Robert Mugabe to utter such at the Zanu Pf conference, let alone the ‘down with Zanu Pf' slogan that he sang at the same conference. Morgan Tsvangirai definitely has the numbers to back up his claim to power. Had the July 31 election been free of manipulation, the former Prime Minister, by now would have been upgraded to being the President of Zimbabwe, and it goes without saying that Zimbabwe would have been a better place to be at right now. The economy improved during the GNU and the reasons thereof are crystal clear. Morgan Tsvangirai saved us!
There aren't many people like Moses, I mean Job; ah pardon me I meant Morgan Tsvangirai. There is no one else like you! There is no one else but you. Morgan Tsvangirai is a man who has leapt from faith to faith, not faith to fear or otherwise. He is a man who has had more enemies than friends. He has lost it all, including his better half and pillar, but he never lost heart for Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans. To Susan, I say may your soul rest in peace!
Morgan Tsvangirai's past has never let or kept him down, he knows the direction to move towards to and the light shone on him. This is the time for him, and he has the strength to move on and lead the Zimbabweans to the Promised Land. The political terrain of Zimbabwean politics is neither for the impatient nor the faint hearted. Those with the humpty-dumpty type of faith and impatience have fallen loudly on the wayside, they fell off the wagon, and they are the motor-mouth Tendai Biti and Elton Mangoma, my learned colleagues Professor Welshman Ncube and Jacob Mafume, Paul and Solomon Madzore, only to name a few, not in any order. His close friends in the struggle have turned their backs against him, back stabbed him, lied to him, stole from him, but he forgave them seven times seventy times per day and kept walking.
Even those who joined the party to derail the People's Party have failed dismally to destroy MDC-T and its leader. One Welshman Ncube of the now defunct MDC-Green and Tendai Biti who is without a party. These two learned colleagues have done everything to fall from the pinnacle into a deep political arroyo. Welshman Ncube's fall from chic has been characterized by an epic failure of not even winning one seat in the legislature. What a fall. For Tendai Biti, it's a matter of defending those in Zanu Pf, the corrupt ones, that has led to Zanu Pf refusing to have those in Tendai Biti's camp be withdrawn from the legislature.
Not only were they lying and stealing from Morgan Tsvangirai, but to all Zimbabweans at large who entrusted the MDC-T to save them from the devious Zanu Pf generation. At one point the former finance minister whose political career is now defunct in the same manner and style as Darryn-T football club's status, was on his way to Mutare on party business, only to be involved in a car accident in a completely different and opposite direction, at or near Chegutu.
It is alleged that he was multitasking behind the wheel in the comfy adulterous company of none other than one of the daughters of Jerusalem. No one is a saint, and politicians are not spared! Nevertheless the political and social comments from our own Job Sikhala about the health bill of Tendai Biti were slightly off the mark and I personally send an apology to Mr. Biti and the nation at large.
It then is beyond any normal imagination why Welshman Ncube and Tendai Biti merged. Zero plus Zero brings in a granny knot! Both as individuals and as collectives will never win a seat in parliament. To Tendai Biti and Welshman Ncube I say rest in peace. The money that you have will be finished; easy come easy go! Politically it is so cold out there. Remember the big tent.
The intelligent few have derailed Zimbabwe no longer needs a rocket and robotics scientist. Zimbabwe has already had one and he rocket-propelled himself from opposition politics, to the rural ruling party, and then into hiding. As it stands, Arthur Mutambara has made a robot of himself and made it to the lost and missing persons department at Mbare Police Station.
The tried and tested Tsvangirai is the man who needs all the support from all walks of life.
President Tsvangirai believed and has been reaping rewards just from having faith and expecting without wondering, and without any ounce of doubt. Morgan Tsvangirai has always been obedient and faithful to the Zimbabweans. Like Job, one day the Lord will restore a hundred fold all that was his, and all the fruits of the field since the first day he was robbed of an election by Robert Mugabe.
The type of intelligence and efficiency that president Tsvangirai has, makes many spin doctors green with envy. In the eyes and perspective of the natural, Zanu Pf had president Tsvangirai dead and buried. The evergreen true and charismatic as Morgan Tsvangirai looked at everything through the eyes of faith. The eyes of the possibility when every force was acting against him, hence his life is filled with results which commensurate his faith.
After the dreadful day of the accident that claimed his better half, every second Zimbabwean was preparing for war against Mugabe and Zanu Pf, but Morgan Tsvangirai called it a freak accident and refused to go with the flow. Even his own castigated him for not acting. This special man never goes with the flow, he always swims against the current; what is also true is that only dead fish goes with the flow!
The forever living God never engages those who do not want to embrace and accept change and a challenge. The president has not struggled with many matters, he accepted the unacceptable because he understood his divine calling to deliver and guide Zimbabweans to the Promised Land. He admitted and apologized for his short comings. This is something that Zanu Pf and Robert Mugabe will never do!
The good thing is that the nation is made up of believers who know that they have to forgive readily. Despite reaching high lows and deep rock bottoms, he comprehended that his task was to resist any temptations by the weevil devil. The devil incarnation who is always making political experiments at the expense of peaceful God fearing Zimbabweans. The president behaves like Christ who had a human body made ready for him as he also understands what is before him.
Furthermore Morgan Tsvangirai is forever ready to face anything thrown at him. Through the physical and emotional turbulence, he stood his ground like a house whose foundation is on a rock.
The line and school of thought that president Morgan Tsvangirai is associated with, is one that understands that the foundation of Zanu Pf is based on lies, thuggery and rigging elections. Rigging and manipulation of elections should reasonably have them declared null and void. It is sad that after such a huge investment in Thabo Mbeki, South Africa made a huge loss in investment for he dined with the totalitarian Robert Mugabe and denied freedom to all Zimbabweans.
Whilst Chris Hani and them were in the bushes dodging bullets, and whilst Soweto was burning, Thabo Mbeki was learning overseas enjoying the luxury and reciting ‘I am an African'. Upon arrival in Africa and became president of South Africa and then the shocker as upon us. As the most learned leader, he first denied the existence of HIV/AIDS and to add insult to injury he employed a health minister who had poor health and spent most of her time in hospitals on a Jack Daniels drip. Thabo Mbeki's cabinet was one step shot of having a hiking minister of transport or having a minister of Home Affairs deported!
Everyone deserves dignity, may her soul rest in peace: Manto Shabalala-Msimang. Thabo Mbeki short changed South Africa a lot and Zimbabwe was not spared.
Nevertheless despite the unrepentant actions of Thabo Mbeki, it has been evident that cheating does not give an everlasting solution, but temporary life solution. The election can be stolen, and books can be cooked, but the GDP and inflation rates are neither cooked nor manipulated. The only Biblical and saintly part about Robert Mugabe is that he shares an eye ball story with John ‘The Baptist'. With gouged eye balls the latter saw in the spirit, he saw beyond history and perceived the church and all its seven emotions and spoke as God was enabling him to speak.
Robert Mugabe has been looking East and his sight is going. The worst form of demonic invasion into a human soul is when a human being loses not just his sight, but his foresight too. At this juncture I personally give a truckload full of respect and honour to Tafadzwa Nyamuzihwa, a colleague at the university who unfortunately lost his sight, but never lost his foresight. That youngman is going places. Robert Mugabe must get a page or two from this sightful youngman.
Where to from here? As long as Mugabe and his Zanu Pf are still in power, Zimbabwe will always be a colony. Thank God Zimbabwe has Morgan Tsvangirai to solve its problems.
Cry my beloved Zimbabwe.
Tears roll down when I think of the glory golden days. Morgan Tsvangirai is the only one who will take us to the Promised Land, the land of milk and honey where there are – EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL.
As treasonous as it may sound, by fire, by force, by the ink or the barrel it all doesn't matter. It is my hope that Zimbabwe will be delivered. It is my hope that the nation will find mercy in God's eyes.
Free Zimbabwe, Mugabe must go! A part of me thought that Robert Mugabe and family could have been part of the missing Asian plane, but by the Grace of God they were not. He survives to live and see Morgan Tsvangirai rule Zimbabwe.
In Morgan Tsvangirai we trust, in Morgan Tsvangirai we have - EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL!
