MDC-T predict fresh elections in 2015 - a figment of a desperate but idle mind

"Let's all brace ourselves for the dissolution of the Parliament of Zimbabwe in the next few months," Gutu said in a weekend post on his micro blogging Facebookpage.

"A new era is beckoning. History is about to be made. We have to be extremely cautious. As Zanu PF inevitably crumbles like a deck of cards, there will be several twists and turns.

The usual nonsense from the usual quarters! Mugabe and Zanu PF did not win last year's election, they rigged the elections thanks to the breath-taking incompetence of Tsvangirai and his MDC friends. Still the regime will certainly be in no hurry to rig new elections.

Mugabe will try his best to win the Mujuru faction MPs over by hook or by crook and, I am sure, many have already switched. Any of the MPs who still remain faithful to Mujuru will pose no political threat to Mugabe and so he will just ignore them.

Recalling the MPs and holding bye-elections will mean having to produce a voters roll and who knows what someone can dig out from there shedding light on how last year's elections were rigged! It is for this reason that Mugabe has ignored MDC-T's demands to recall the its own MPs who are now in the MDC-Renewal faction.

In any case government is broke; elections cost hundreds of millions of dollars in normal expenses and hundreds more in bribes, money the government does not have.

Even if the regime was able to raise all the money it needed to hold fresh elections, Mugabe knows that the Mujuru people know how he has rigged elections in the past and they will be only to keen to expose how. It is too early for him to be sure he has squeezed all her supporters out of the Zanu PF machinery to trust everyone.

In there are to be fresh elections before 2018 then it would be because Mugabe and Zanu PF would have been forced screaming and kicking to hold them.

"The regime has got its back against the wall; it's completely broke, but paranoid and hence, extremely dangerous," admitted Gutu. Yes Zanu PF is broke but MDC-T is even worse off. Not only did MDC members lose their gravy train salaries and allowances, the party lost all its donors who deserted the party in droves in protest at the leadership's pathetic past performance.

Ever since MDC lost last year's elections, Obert Gutu like everyone else in the party has found it very difficult to readjust to daily hardships of life in Zimbabwe after their years of plenty on the gravy train during the GNU. The MDC-T leader, Tsvangirai, has found it particularly hard keeping up appearance of a posh lifestyle in his $ 4 million mansion (bribe from Mugabe for MDC to implement no reforms during the GNU years) but on zero income.

MDC members are like rural chicken caught in the rain drenched and chilled to the bone and desperate for shelter. They are so desperate to get back in parliament and the gravy train people like Obert Gutu are now see election coming up next year, he cannot wait till 2018, and already see himself as Minister of Justice all a figment of a desperate but idle mind.
