10:51, 11 Feb - +263 7* *** ****: POLICE ARE NOT LAW ABIDING CITIZENS
Please may I beg to differ with the views and expressions that police are law abiding citizens. Please great and respectected citizens of zimbabwe, I know 90% of honest citizens know that the robbers are in government uniforms, they are the police. Let me tell a story of my experiance just this friday, as we were going along vic falls road on a minibus, it happened that the trailler was not registered.
We passed a road block at emakhandeni without any problem, then we passed again a road block few metres away from emakhandeni at falls road, cant tell how its justified to seperate a roadblock with just 800 metres. We past a road block at Bhinisi, then just a kilometer before insuza there is a road block manned by three officers. Since the trailler was not registered, as per nom, the $5 bribe was turned down by a lady officer who thretened to write a $50 ticket if the bribe was not raised. The driver and the conductor maintained that they dont hv money.
One of the officers asked for a lift to insuza. Just a kilometer from his road block there is a insuza road block, you wonder why so many road block, and u wonder if they are genuine or not. We passed the insuza road block and stopped 500m a(ay from it to drop the officer. B*t guess what he de0anded that we drive to the station ssince the vehicle had no registration, or they pay him $30 bribe.
It was a long meeting as the driver tried to resist the bribe, but guess what , they took his license and told him, bring $30 as u collect your lisence. I asked my self why not give a ticket than to delay people for so long. Sunday + was on the same buss; 3 coppps =n the same sport; no lisence without our $30; am one ccitizen who will never give respect to these thieves on our roads. Thank you. Concerned citizen
