VP Mphoko is right in a way, concerning Gukurahundi. Think about, and try not to be based towards your long held view.
Thousands of people were openly massacred in broad daylight, with western media present, the British army busy training the new ZNA - how was it possible that the world was so quiet on the goings on?
How was it that more aid was poured on the government that was busy terrorising a section of the population?
How was it that the leader was was showered with awards, one after another?
President Mugabe has never denied it and he referred to it as a moment of madness. Calling it a western conspiracy does not mean it never happened, nor does it absolve the government at the time of any wrong doing. We all know that our own sons went around killing and raping the innocent. The foot soldiers themselves were trained by a foreign government.
The international community turned a blind eye to the goings on, and you have to ask yourself why? Unless they were involved in a conspiracy to subdue a section of the society whose leader was known to be an advocate for the acquisition of land without compensation. Let's think clearly on these things.
