Rugare Gumbo is a political coward

The spokesperson of the Mujuru cabal, Rugare Gumbo should be ashamed for making wrong uninformed decisions on the former Vice President Joice Mujuru's political career.
In one of the local dailies, Gumbo publicly proclaimed that Dr Mujuru was their party (People First) front runner who will challenge President Mugabe in 2018 elections.
"If congress is held and she is elected president then yes, she will contest in the 2018 election. Ultimately, the people will decide, but certainly she is a front runner as we speak," said Gumbo.
Gumbo's statement revealed his true character that he was indeed a political coward who lacks intelligence and confidence to be a leader of a political party.
Why should you push Mujuru to lead you? Are you not a man enough to lead a political party? I doubt very much if Gumbo has any relevance in politics. The fact that he was expelled from ZANU-PF tells it all that Gumbo is politically weak. Gumbo should begin to accept the value of failure in the politics.
No wonder why Dr Mujuru refused to be pushed into unnecessary decisions. It is interesting that the former VP overtly denounced Gumbo's utterances. Mujuru rightly noted that she was not there to be pushed into politics by grown up man like Gumbo as she has her own time to decide her future plans.
One will not deny the idea that Gumbo and other colleagues who are pushing Mujuru to contest 2018 elections are doing this for their own benefit. It is alleged that the ousted former ZANU-PF spokesperson has nothing tangible that can support him if he wishes to continue with his political career. Gumbo, who owns two fruitless farms in Shurugwi, is desperately singing for his supper through imposing Dr Mujuru as their master.
Mujuru who was told to collaborate with Tsvangirai by her western counterparts might soon be receiving funds from the European Union donors.
Truth be told, Gumbo is a holder of negative political history, though he never accepts failure. It's true when they say history repeats itself. Written reports clearly state that Rugare Gumbo was a sell-out. It therefore boggles the mind that who in this world would want to be led by a traitor. I doubt so much if Dr Mujuru would be boastful enough to be a head of a group of double agents.
According to recent reports on poll survey conducted by Mass Public Opinion and Institute together with International Research Institute, Afro-Barometer, opposition political parties ceases to be significant as voters have lost confidence in most of them. As it stands, the Mujuru cabal will not compete and win the 2018 elections. It is important to note that, most electorates hate cheap politics. MDC-T is one of the opposition parties that have leaders who fail to recognize the importance of electorates.
It is a fact that everyone hates to fail. We assume, rationally or not, that the Mujuru cabal will suffer embarrassment and a loss of esteem and stature if it persists to contest in 2018 elections. Also, nowhere is the fear of failure more intense and debilitating than in the competitive world of politics, where a silly mistake can mean losing all votes.
When one admits that he is a failure especially in politics, it becomes a turning point which brings new avenues for growth and opportunity to develop valuable leadership abilities.
If Gumbo and company wants to widen their popularity in the political field, they have to show the electorates that they have better policies and ideologies that can override those of the ruling party. Surely, one cannot just form a political party because he/she was ousted from the ruling party.
Recently, the ruling party's national political commissar, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere confirmed that the Mujuru cabal lacks grassroot support. Therefore, this group should think twice before it considers forming a political party.
Also, Gumbo should stop bragging that Mujuru was the first woman to be elected as Vice President. In actual fact, Gumbo should be reminded that Mujuru was appointed by President Mugabe. I am quite cognizant that they were a lot of other competent members from the party who could have been appointed besides her. It is common knowledge that President Mugabe has the power and authority to appoint or to dismiss any party member from a certain position in the party. The notion that Mujuru exposed her true character by plotting to unconstitutionally oust President Mugabe from Government caused her expulsion from the revolutionary party.
