Bring back Itayi Dzamara

21 May 2015 at 09:53hrs | Views

The government of Zimbabwe through its spokesperson Jonathan Moyo has surely failed the people of Zimbabwe. If citizens can be abducted and disappear in broad daylight then why do we need a bill of rights and the constitution in the first place.

Jonathan Moyo was reckless on his BBC interview in even suggesting that Itai Dzamara has crossed the border, borrowing from CIO lackey and swindler accused Energy Mutodi. An admission of failure on the part of state intelligence point to failure of the system and lack of will on Zanu-PF to implement the rule of law. It is pathetic that Jonathan Moyo admitted and alluded to the fact that there is no security of citizens in Zimbabwe.

We are in danger of militia abductions and as such call upon SADC, European Union, African Union and the UN to pressure Zimbabwe to avail Itai Dzamara.

We do not want to be forced to buy a tired line that Dzamara skipped the country without tangible hard evidence. Next time other citizens will disappear and the so called porous borders will be given as an excuse. It was cheap and rude of Jonathan Moyo and reflects the person he is coarse and brute, indeed insensitive and uncaring.

As DARE political party we call upon publishing of all reports concerning the abduction of Itai Dzamara and ask the relevant authority to give assurances that Itai Dzamara will be found whether alive or dead.

A human being cannot just vanish into thin air.We expect as citizens to be protected at law and our rights as enshrined in the constitution, protected!!!.
