MDC-T should stop its hypocrisy
14 Aug 2015 at 10:51hrs | Views
The MDC-T is at it again, sending out its urban run councils to destroy "illegal" housing structures and to disconnect water from residence who are failing to meet their bill obligations on time.
The residents have pleaded for a negotiated way of clearing their water bills; evidence that they are willing to clear them given time.
The residents have sighted the hardships they are currently facing, especially with most bread winners having lost their jobs due to job losses; an unfortunate incident development that have gone viral cutting across both private and public companies.
Getting into power in 2018 is the MDC-T's main focus even if it means achieving it by any means necessary; for them the end justifies the means. They are trying to stir up the residents' anger by destroying their homes and switching off water supplies, diverting that anger away from the MDC-T whilst directing it to the ZANU PF led government.
The people should not be fooled; they should distinguish to whom their anger and disgruntlement are supposed to be directed. Their anger should be vented at that party, MDC-T which is in charge of most urban councils .
The rural flock, who voted for the tried and tested ZANU PF party, are farming and producing results, their councillors and Members of Parliament make sure that they have all they require for their farming inputs and that they get a fair price for their produce, that's representing the people that put you into power.
What the MDC-T is oblivious of is the fact that people are now aware of their tricks of trying to smear their dirty on others.
Their stint in during the coalition government with ZANU PF exposed them as a party with empty promises. All the promises they made about improving the lives of civil servant through improving the health delivery service, improving education and also providing jobs and housing for everyone, never materialised.
They failed to honour even one of their promises. The people are now aware and even wiser; they know that no matter how much rain beats on a leopard's skin it will not wash away the sports. This torture that the residents are going through, due to the MDC-T urban councils, should be stopped they know where their power lies, and they know the pen is mightier than the sword. Come 2018 and all shall be cleared. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
