Economic genocide; Testimony from the devil
26 Aug 2015 at 13:52hrs | Views
If the devil could quote the scriptures to Jesus trying to talk him out of the holy trinity, one wonders how low politicians, especially those from the opposition political parties, will stoop at as far as situation manipulation is concerned.
The only truth from these individuals go nowhere beyond the fact that they are humans like us. As for their concern and what they represent remains tainted with all forms of ill mannerisms and deceptive machinations that will get them at the top.
MDC-T youths national leader Happymore Chidziva termed the ongoing employees purges as economic genocide. That was a fair attempt towards naming a situation but their position in this matter remains undefined. Instead they adopted the cowards' stunt of fence-sitting while sprucing their premeditated escalation of crises in Zimbabwe.
Chidziva's utterance in an interview, that the streets will become their second homes, speaks volumes of the chaos that they so much adore and wish for. This however, does not come as a surprise, given the faction-riddled MDC-T's penchant for breakaways in a party that has run out of tact and ideas and hence can only thrive on crises.
Its leadership in general and Tsvangirai in particular, made the stunning statements of the deliberate plan to fuel crises in Zimbabwe. It is thus expecting too much from the MDC-T to ask them to be a people oriented and loyal opposition to the cause of Zimbabwe.
Against such a background, to then have someone lament economic genocide is the height of hypocrisy. Because of the MDC-T's capitalistic background, they are caught between a rock and a hard surface. If they side with employees they would have bitten the hand that feeds. Singing from the employers hymn book basically exposes their money based politicking which is generally anti people.
How they balance the matrix is simple. Inconsistence and crisis escalation with sole purpose of diverting attention from their manifesto and modus operandi yields a short lived high returns. The insatiable appetite for power by the MDC-T then qualifies them as nothing but economic terrorists.
Basically terrorists are not concerned by results at the end of the day. They are good at instilling terror in people and this is propagated by prophets of doom such as Chidziva. Terrorists are less bothered by the consequences of the after incident as their prime concern is to attract attention, stir chaos and fear and ultimately arm twist the somewhat vulnerable population.
Talk also of Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU), this organisation purporting to be a labour movement, yet whose position too in this employer-employee brawl remains dubious. President Mugabe has been unequivocal in his concern for the plight of workers. Tsvangirai could not take such a bold position because he has selfish interests to protect. The MDC-T leader, unlike President Mugabe, is given to vacillating.
Interestingly, people have eyes to see all this and virtually exercise their powers in the ballot box. When they do so, only those myopic individuals such as Chidziva cling on to the fallacy that Zanu PF used hook and crook to win the 2013 harmonised elections. Wake up and get a reality check, man.
Call Raymond Majongwe and get the notes straight that ZANU PF resoundingly beat clueless MDC-T. The Progressive Teachers Union Zimbabwe (PTUZ) boss does not mince his word when articulating the whitewash defeat the MDC-T suffered at the hands of ZANU PF.
Chidziva also needs to be reminded that as a nation, we cannot afford to forget that the sanctions are the brainchild of the MDC-T. The manner you are now frothing about escalating crises by way of demonstrations and other nefarious means only serves to confirm the scape-goating and victim tag that the party is wont to adopt for its convenience.
To the workers and the rest of Zimbabweans, MDC-T has only but crises to give the nation. That party is not losing sleep over the plight of employees. Just as Chidziva is regurgitating the escalation of crises mantra that is a favourite of Tsvangirai, it would be folly for the flock to be converted by a devil's just because the monster has cited a few verses from the Holy Book.
