Mnangagwa will howl if Mugabe appoints someone else as he did with Mphoko!

I have known Emmerson Mnangagwa for many years, he is a crafty operator and President Mugabe has employed people like him only to discard them when the dirty work is done without even bothering to say thank you.

The late Nathan Shamuyarira is credited for turning Zimbabwe's public media into one there to serve the Zanu PF dictatorship agenda at the expense of freedom of expression and press freedom. This has been great for the dictatorship but a complete disaster for the nation.

Mnangagwa is Zanu PF's spy-master and he has moulded the CIO into the murderous gangsters they are with panache for spying on ordinary citizens and terrorizing them. As Didymus Mutasa once boasted, the CIO knows everything about everyone and there are CIO operatives everywhere.

President Mugabe has just opened a $200 million Spy University in Mazoe. The country has very few doctors, teachers and many other useful professionals but it was a swarm of spies. Spies spying on the ordinary people, spying on political leaders and critics of the regime and spies spying on other spies!

President Mugabe is notorious for using other people to do his dirty work, he will reap all the benefits and then discard the worker as soon as he or she seize to be useful for his dark and sinister purposes. He has discarded Shamuyarira and many others, the media guru died a broken man as poor as a church mouse.

Mnangagwa has not been spared the traditional tyrannical thank you - kick in the teeth - from time to time from President Mugabe. He has kept Mnangagwa close to him for 35 years but only because to stay in power the president has needed ruthless thugs and in Mnangagwa he could not have a more devious operator. Mnangagwa is not nicknamed "Ngwena" crocodile for his good looks only, you know!
Mnangagwa has expanded his repertoire from being the master-spy to being the second in command of the infamous Joint Operations Command (JOC), the Junta that has ruled the nation for donkey years now. The Junta has roped in all the top brass in the Police, Army, Prison Services and, most important of all, the murderous CIO thugs; a few other select individuals from government and Zanu PF; all headed by President Mugabe himself.

Police Commissioner Augustine Chihuri has written a doctorate thesis on how the Police have been ruthless in the execution of their duties "to stop the West's regime change agenda". Poor Chihuri, he has been sold the de facto one-party dictatorship poorly disguised as the no-regime-change mantra. He has never questioned the futility of holding elections whose results are pre-determined and then having to lie that the elections were free and fair.

Now the idiot has chutzpah to drum his chest like a silver back gorilla about his role in the whole charade!

JOC is the shadowy parallel government complete with its own sources of funds - from all the looting and plunder of the nation's resources from the secretive sell of baby elephants to the wholesale industrial plunder of Marange and Chiadzwa diamonds - that then Finance Minister Tendai Biti complained about in 2012.

So whilst Mnangagwa was burning the midnight oil scheming and directing JOC plans to cheat, rig votes, beat, rape and even murder Mugabe's political opponents and povo for the sole purpose of keeping Mugabe in power; Mugabe has been busy scheming the traditional tyrant's thank-you for Mnangagwa.

Mugabe has been busy rigging party elections to deny none other than Mnangagwa a meaningful share of the spoils of power as happened in 2004 when he changed the party's constitution to stop Mnangagwa becoming VP.

Last year Mnangagwa throw a big party to celebrate what he and everyone throw was confirmation that he will be the one to takeover after Mugabe. Some people even started to speculate that President Mugabe would be announcing his retirement on his 91 years birthday party. President Mugabe shafted Mnangagwa alright by announcing that the race for his replacement was open and there was no front runner!

Of course VP Mnangagwa was disappointed but after President Mugabe had publicly announce that the party would elect the successor Mnangagwa had no choice but endorse the idea. Mnangagwa knows only too well that Mugabe will choose the successor and claim that is the choice of the party and everyone will fall into line and accept the imposed candidate just as he did last year with the appointment of himself and VP Mphoko.

Of course President Mugabe may have said the race for his successor is open and there was no clear front runner to take off the pressure on him to start passing on some of the duties to the successor. However if in the end President Mugabe should appoint an unknown candidate, just as he did with VP Mphoko ahead of all the other front runners like Simon Khaya Moyo, this time VP Mnangagwa will howl like a wolf with an arrow up his backside!
