Eddie Cross' bankruptcy goes mental

Political persecution has grown of age taking alternative and even more ruthless forms far surpassing the 'Night of long knives' which saw the purges of Jews at the hands of the Nazi's.
In this genre of political persecution lives are not supposed to be lost with people incurring broken limps, rather the loss comes when life dies inside living people. I am talking of heightened desperation propagated by somewhat self proclaimed prophets of doom such as Eddy Cross.
His "flee Zimbabwe or die" opinion on face value is a fantasy but connotatively carries traits of the initial stages of colonialism characterised by physical displacement of people from their respective ancestral homes. This time around the gist is to antagonise the locals and have their neighbours turn against them.
Indeed history repeats itself but as the saying goes once beaten twice shy.
Zimbabweans cannot fall to the same trick over and over again, thus this time around we can see the past coming around poorly and pathetically disguised.
The paradigm shift however, is not much of a choice on the part of this day's spend imperialist. Literary Eddy Cross is broke to do it the Rhodes way hence desperately tries to incite mass exodus and self exile of Zimbabweans.
The developments from opposition political parties reflect more on their powerless grip on reality. Exaggerating how the envisioned self exiles will pull down the whole region and possibly develop into a diplomatic tiff between Zimbabwe and her neighbours translate into unimaginable and shameful fallacy.
Without necessarily sounding bookish, the question one would dare ask is, from which book are the opposition reading and gleaning notes? Do these wayward strategies have reference or a recorded success story? I am sure this era in the near future will be dubbed casino politicking characterised by try and era antics.
Suppose it miraculously yields positive returns on the part of the opposition, who will be left for them to rule? Who can vote them into power under such state of affairs? Let us have serious individuals capable of reasoning beyond common sense.
There are more of questions than sense in Eddy Cross's call for Zimbabweans to flee Zimbabwe. The problem is clear however, judging from the events taking place in Zimbabwe.
The sensationalising of crises escalation has seen some individuals and organisations adopting movie characters and plotting. The white chap l am sure sees himself playing the famous Idris Elba character of the movie hotel Rwanda in his foolish dream about Zimbabwe.
The impression by Eddy that the economy is beyond repair qualifies him as a typical alarmist whose mental faculties have been torn apart by the apt desire to motivate regime change in Zimbabwe. Gone are the days when his ancestors bulldozed their way into Africa and Zimbabwe in particular.
That was a moment of madness on a communal people. To expect the same tactics would apply now defies all the logic behind the name Movement for Democratic Change. Dream on Eddy Cross and again thanks for reminding us that a white man can also be stupid at the end of the day.
