Snoozing to lose again - the ANC and Zapu!

As the curtain comes down on Mugabe, the region's perennial losers - the ANC and Zapu - are set to be confirmed losers - again!
The same forces that effected 'regime change' in Rhodesia (after a their line-holding Zimbabwe-Rhodesia) are already busy working on another regime change, now to come through Zanu-PF again, and no longer through the MDC's failed template. You have seen them, they are already here - the regime change-makers - busy, cajoling, rehearing 'scenarios', and re-constructing the political narrative.
Meantime, the ANC - now a government next door - and Zapu, the only party that could have formed an independence government, are united in their usual state of political miasma, distracted by things like EFF and Zanu-PF's so-called succession wars (a total figment promoted as part of the regime change agenda) while agents of the regime change are busy effecting the new damage suitable for a post-colonial Southern Africa.
The region will now continue to decline, just as it failed to achieve true and full independence in the 1980's, all because a manipulating mechanism had already been planted in Zimbabwe in the form of a changed regime in 1980 which left Rhodesia intact in everything but name only. An orchestrated genocide against the Ndebele in the 1980s kept both the ANC and Zapu under check, reducing both to mere later recipients of political benevolence granted by shadowy manipulators.
Today, instead of developing, the region is politically baby-sitting Zimbabwe - with no end in sight - while the puppeteer's strings are all there for all to see, but the ANC and Zapu. The anti-West, anti-imperialist blubber emanating from Zimbabwe's 'corridors of power' enough to be heavy mud smudges on the political lenses of the ANC and Zapu! As before, Zimbabwe has taken down and is taking down everything in the region with it. It's another new page of regional paralysis and stasis, this time being opened under the watch of an independent and ANC-led South African government next door.
What is it about the ANC and Zapu that makes them this? How did fate carve such a tactically powerful and yet so politically flawed alliance?
It is already the morning after the night before for everybody in Zimbabwe and the region. Sex after a loveless and drink-soaked encounter! And there are still people who talk about the 2018 elections as if they were anything of the sort! The same thing as Zapu agreeing to let Lord Soames be 'Governor' to oversee Rhodesia's 'independence' elections and expecting to form an independence government! Political noctambulism of the fifth kind.
And it's all back to the politics of shoving and shuffling in Zimbabwe and the region for many decades to come, and all of that after all this huffing and puffing in a now independent region!
But it's all about the politics - stupid!
South Africa's prosperity in particular, and the region's in general, has always been predicted on South Africa resolving the unresolved political issues in Zimbabwe, not for now but for all time, rather than managing and baby-sitting them. But the ANC-led South African government is happy to function as a managerial, not a political, State.
How dare agents of regime change be so right about their political opium for the ANC and Zapu, and for all of it to be so easy?
