Joshua Nkomo would never sell out own country

The Zimbabwe Unemployed People's Association (ZUPA), which represents the interests of millions of unemployed Zimbabweans, has always respected the leadership of our country and will continue to do. But national leaders should not speak a language similar to that of tribalists or those obsessed with soiling the legacy of the late nationalist.
Let it be known to all that Joshua Nkomo (1917-1999) was a visionary whose political maturity, leadership tolerance still shines like a beacon in the night. We can also see his determination and perseverance in his stance, striding ahead with a trade mark stick. Surly we must be reminded of the late VP's desire to give of himself completely in service of others and the country. Nkomo was never and will never be a sell-out but was, a citizen of Zimbabwe and national hero who rendered to Zimbabwe service of a most distinguished nature.
We believe tone of VP EM did not represent a one Zimbabwe in him. That VP Joshua Nkomo was a sell-out "provokes the emotions of many Zimbabweans and hurts their feelings around the world, and could fan the flame of a vicious circle of tribalism. VP EM's comments to the New Africa Magazine can only be seen as a repeated provocative move. As ZUPA, we condemn VP's provocative move, because it hurts sentiments of people of Zimbabwe, especially people of Matabeleland. The abuse of freedom of expression in this manner is indeed unacceptable. We therefore call on VP EM to do the right thing, retract his comment and offered an 'unconditional' apology. Zanu-PF must distance and disassociate themselves from VP EM's derogatory' remarks.
