Mujuru must face the nation

If there is any country that has grown to see all genres of politicians from different trades and colour, it has to be Zimbabwe. Some claim possession of keys to the economy and now a self-proclaimed pedigree locksmith has presented herself in anticipation of unlocking investments and economy.
The inconsequential re-introduction of Dr Joice Mujuru back into politics this time around on the other side of the door as the former ZANU PF evicted house mate ambitiously promising to unlock that which Morgan Tsvangirai carelessly hitched on the economical door of the country, is a non-event.
Believe me am not against the fairer gender neither am I a pessimist, it is just a reflex response and reflection on the diving board that opposition political party leaders sheepishly jump on and unceremoniously crash land.
Some have likened Zimbabweans as the wandering Israelites in a desert under the stewardship of opposition political leaders. The reverse of the situation becomes the case of Zimbabweans; instead of being liberated we are rather dragged back to the iron grip of pharaoh. Desperate for economic revival we are, but to have some individuals dice with our predicament is evil.
Some say an angry man is blind and foolish; this is complimented by the famous saying that everything that is begun in anger usually begets a shameful ending. It is now over a decade as Zimbabwe opposition politics moves around in circles. Blunders and miscalculated ignition of diplomatic tiffs has seen the nation crumbling on its knees.
This time around an angry and disgruntled Mujuru enters the scene from her cocoons. As an electorate we will not stop to question why one is entering into politics. To be used as pawns on someone's vengeance mission is a non-starter in this era. Why you were quiet all along if one may ask?
There are more of why(s) in this infamous Mujuru move. She has not been sure of the steps to take and this is clearly reflected in the manner she has lurched out from whatever political preschool she has been attending behind the scene. Distributing a somewhat drowsy paper in the name of a manifesto is not anywhere near meaningful and serious politicking.
If her complacency on the perceived legion of sympathizers is anything to go by, then we should have had a confident Mujuru launching a party and at least show her face at a press conference defending her project. This blueprint on BUILD and PEACE is nothing more than a project being pilot tested. She is testing the waters in anticipation of acting on feedback. There is no verve what so ever to stand for what they think they believe in.
Rugare Gumbo confirmed this by postponing response to wide criticism of their paper tiger saying we will respond at an appropriate moment when they have exhausted their malice. The PF camp is reactionary and wants to act on a consensus from the feedback. Temba Mliswa was right to declare his uncle and cronies as a bunch of cowards.
This so called manifesto speaks volumes on the advent of yet another paper tiger designed to capitalize on a people's emotions with basically nothing new except packaged anger by Mujuru and her friends. It is a come around piece of public relations document.
A look at BUILD and PEACE spell the notion of public relations management meant to lure the electorate. However, it is important for Mujuru and camp to note that, it is not always that acronyms should sound like a good word for them to appeal in the populace, ladies and gentlemen. It is not like Zimbabweans will be writing an exam on unlocking and locking the economy hence coining of such acronyms which are easy to recall at any moment.
What peace does she know when she literary terrorised the corporate world with her 10% regime. She virtually built nothing during her tenure in office as Vice President of Zimbabwe. She could not at least develop the primary school she attended down her rural home in Dotito. Spare us the building plans and locksmith testimonies Dr Mujuru; you are a tried, tested and failed builder in whatever capacity.
