PDP's Mafume condemn Zanu PF's lawlessness in typical interlope opportunism!

"The biggest sin in Zimbabwe for years has been the culture of impunity and the blatant disrespect of the law," said Jacob Mafume spokesman for the Tendai Biti-led People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Yes the culture of lawlessness is a serious matter but are you raising this because you care or this is just political opportunism at its sickening worst!

I was once in CABS one hot afternoon, queuing to withdraw some money. Sweating in the heat whilst queuing for something or other is a familiar occupation in Zimbabwe; you might think. In the same queue was this woman with a baby on her back and a toddler. The two were hauling the house down and the lady was doing her best to comfort them.

The screaming was doing my head in and, it was clear, many others in the queue felt the same too. It was decided to let the lady jump the queue. However before she was served; this man, whose position in the queue showed the two did not know each other, joined the lady up front and tried to take the toddler from her.

The toddler's screaming went into overdrive and was clinking to the lady as if its every life depended on it. Our interloper was not one to give up so easily; what a commotion! Many people were sickened by the interloper's opportunism and told him in no uncertain terms that he should wait his turn in the queue like everyone else!

"The disrespect of the law has been defined by Zanu PF since the Gukurahundi era in the 1980s when over 20,000 people were killed," said Mafume.

People like Mafume, Tendai Biti, Morgan Tsvangirai, Welshman Ncube and all the other MDC leaders are just political opportunists who do not give a damn about the suffering and deaths of ordinary Zimbabwe. However they are quick to take advantage of the suffering of the masses to advance their own selfish political agenda. They are no different from the interloper in the CABS queue; he prepared to cause even greater stress on the lady, the toddler, the baby and everyone else as long as he was able to jump the queue.

MDC leaders elected into power in 2008 on the promise they will bring democratic change. They had the best opportunity ever during the GNU to do just that by implementing the GPA reforms. Once in power they were too busy enjoying the gravy train lifestyle of office they forgot their promise to the nation. As a result Mugabe was able to blatantly rig the July 2013 elections and many of the MDC leaders were thrown off the gravy train.

Mafume and his MDC colleagues have once again taken up the fight for democratic change because they are desperate to be elected back into power, back onto the gravy train.

Mugabe and his Zanu PF thugs promised the nation peace, freedom, justice and mass prosperity. After 35 years tyrannical rule we are yet to hold free and fair elections. The national economy is in total meltdown following decades of mismanagement and corruption. Millions of our people now live in abject poverty. And yet Mugabe still claims he is the liberation hero and, in the face of the nation's 90% unemployment rate, he promised 2.2 million new jobs.

It is said a politician's work is never done but in Zimbabwe our politicians have taken this to a new sickening level in that they consider making life a misery for us, the masses, their life's work. Of course Zimbabwe political paralysis and economic mess are man-made and, by failing to separate the quality leaders from the corrupt and incompetent opportunists, we have contributed to our own misery.
